Chris Squire, the bassist and co-founder of the pioneering prog rock band Yes, passed away at age 67 just over a month after revealing he had been diagnosed with acute erythroid leukemia. As the sole constant member of Yes for over 45 years, playing on every album, Squire was instrumental in the band's success and influenced generations of bass players. He also co-wrote many of Yes' most famous songs. Squire's diagnosis had forced him to miss Yes' recent summer tour, the first they played without him. His death leaves Yes needing to find a new bassist.
