Jack Ma attended university in China and became an English teacher. In 1995 he took his first trip to the US and learned about the internet, inspiring him to start an internet company in China. In 1999 he launched Alibaba, an e-commerce platform that now serves millions of buyers and suppliers worldwide. Alibaba has become one of China's largest companies and Ma believes business should be responsible to society by improving lives and creating jobs.
