Dear Scott,

On behalf of everyone at ITP, a hearty THANK YOU to you and your impressive
team -- the work you did on our Microsoft Conference on Jan. 11 and 12 was
incredible and in no small part helped make our event a big success.
I don't have to tell you how significant this activity is to ITP/TSOA. 70+ VIP
executives, donors, and academics gather annually at our dept. for this two day
Microsoft event -- and for dinner at the Torch Club -- it is a high visibility activity
with a lot of moving parts and we need everything to be just right.
With breakfast and lunch brought in for two days -- plus an on site cocktail party --
and then dinner at the Torch Club – it was a big job and a totally professional
effort all the way. You -- and your team members -- are outstanding -- they aim to
please and it shows -- it is the difference that makes the difference.
The setups looked stylish. The food was delicious and plentiful. Everything
happened right on time with no muss or fuss. You make it look easy and I am
sure it is not!
On a personal note, it is a great pleasure working with you, and I want to you to
know how grateful we are for your creative problem solving in the planning stages
of this operation, as well as your day-to-day role in guiding the "implementation."
When I work with you I always know that I can reach out to you -- you are always
friendly and accessible and willing to go the extra mile to help. Plus you are on
site throughout the day to manage all the fine details -- this is extraordinarily
helpful -- I know that your team works hard, but the vision is yours and it comes
across in the impeccable final result.
Every set up was elegant and laid out beautifully. This year we tried an on site
cocktail party element for the first time -- and the way you organized the room --
all the stylish details from the linens to the lighting -- was lovely. Our guests loved
it!
This was a particularly challenging overall event -- as you know both of the
organizers on the Microsoft side were new to this event and working at a
distance. This could have been “one more problem to deal with” scenario for you
-- but you rolled with it, guided them through the process and made them feel well
taken care of, and got them exactly what they wanted. Thank you.
The dinner at the Torch Club was also a big hit. I know it was a busy night for you
with other bookings -- but the food was delicious, the "vibe" was warm and cozy in
the "pub room" and it was so nice that a group (including the Microsoft executive
who sponsored the event) enjoyed sitting at the bar long after dinner was over.
And finally a special thanks to all the servers and chefs who took part. All of your
team were friendly cheerful, proactive and helpful. We always felt that it was
"their event" as much as "ours" -- they wanted nothing more than for everything to
be perfect, and it showed.
What else can I say? You did great and you made us look good! And most
important of all, our "client" felt well served and well taken care of.
We look forward to working with you again on the next one!
Best,
George Agudow
