Day 1 and 2
Day 1- Fly from the US to
Rome, Italy
Day 2- Arrive at Rome
Fiumicino Airport and
head to your hotel in
Rome. Attend an
orientation session with
your coordinator before
venturing out on your own
for dinner.
Day 3
Start today with a private guided
walking tour of Rome. Admire the
Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the
Spanish Steps and more. In the
evening, enjoy a special welcome
dinner.
Day 4
Enjoy a guided tour of the
Coliseum, then take in the
nearby sites of the Roman
Forum and Palatine Hill
Day 5
In the morning, learn about a
local non profit organization
focused on slow food events.
Enjoy a free afternoon to
explore Rome.
Your private coach bus will take
you to Tivoli, where you will
visit the Villa d’Este. Spend the
afternoon in Rome on your
own.
Day 6
Day 7
Enjoy a private guided tour of the
Vatican Museums with the Sistine
Chapel and the St. Peter’s Basilica.
Your private coach bus will transport
you to Siena. In the afternoon, take a
walking tour of the city. Surrounded
by olive groves and the vineyard of
Chianti, Siena is one of the most
beautiful cities of Tuscany.
Day 8
Day 9
This morning a cooking class
awaits you. Learn about and
enjoy tasting typical Tuscan
food and enjoy a beautiful
setting. In the afternoon, visit a
winery in Chianti. Learn about
the history of the wine makers
and participate in a wine
tasting. Later, continue your
journey to Florence.
Day 10
In the morning, take a guided
tour of the Pastificio Artigianale
Fabbri Museum, which is
dedicated to pasta.
Later, meet your guide for a
walking tour of Florence. Enjoy
the view of the Medici Palace,
Basilica di San Lorenzo, and
much more.
Day 11
In the morning, visit a winery and
enjoy wine tasting. In the
afternoon, continue on to an oil
mill and learn about the production
of olive oil.
Day 12
Start your day with a guided
tour of the San Lorenzo Market.
As you tour, stop to taste local
specialties. Later, enjoy a free
afternoon in Florence .
Day 13
Have a private tour of the
Galleria dell’Accademia, home
to many Gothic and
Renaissance paintings as well as
numerous Michelangelo's
statues, including David.
Day 14
Travel today to Bologna.
After checking in to your
hotel, enjoy a group lunch in
a local restaurant. In the
afternoon, explore the city on
your own
Day 15
Today, your private coach
will take you to the Parma
region to visit a Parmigiano
cheese dairy. Later, visit a
salumi factory, and learn
how Crudo di Parma is
made and taste some
delicious deli meats.
Day 16
This morning, visit a
balsamico producer of
traditional balsamic vinegar.
Learn how its made and have
a taste. In the afternoon,
travel onward to Verona. After
lunch, meet your guide for a
walking tour of the city
including Juliet’s famous
balcony.
Day 17
Start the morning with a visit to a working rice mill and learn about how the
mill processes its rice. In the afternoon, continue on to Sirmione to visit the
Grotte di Catullo, built by the 1st century AD
Day 18
Enjoy a free morning in Verona
to explore the city. Later take a
private coach bus to your hotel
in Venice Mestre.
Start today with a private tour of the
Rialto Market and taste some local
specialties. Enjoy lunch on your own
at one of the restaurants surrounding
the market. Afterwards, enjoy a
guided walking tour of Venice. Explore
the city on your own
Day 20
Enjoy your last day in Venice on your
own. In the evening the group will have
a farewell dinner.
Day 21
Your private bus will take you from your
hotel to the Venice Marco Polo Airport to
begin your journey home.
