Bulgaria is a country located in Southeastern Europe founded in 681 AD. It has a population of 7.6 million inhabitants and its capital and largest city is Sofia. Bulgaria has a long history and diverse landscapes, with a culture dating back to medieval times including notable composers. One of its most important monuments is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, an Eastern Orthodox cathedral that has been destroyed and rebuilt several times over the centuries, including by a bomb in 1925 that killed 128 people.
