THE RIGHT PEOPLE About
UsISDEF’s Key Capabilities:
Israel’s status as a leading provider of defence and security systems in the global market,
coupled with ISDEF’s position as the premier international exhibition in Israel, provides exhibitors
with the ability to enter the Israeli market, maintain local relationships, form joint-ventures and
create third market opportunities. Israeli Companies are important end-users are involved in
100’s of projects throughout the world. This makes ISDEF’s international market opportunity a
very effective business platform, no less than the domestic market. Companies that participate
at ISDEF are more likely to be considered for projects and win compared to companies that
do not make a presence. Exhibitors are granted access to end-users and key decision makers
that would otherwise be nearly impossible to reach. These benefits are further enhanced for
SMEs [international & local]- whom generally do not have the means to travel abroad promoting
their products - giving them the advantage to generate business, increase exports and establish
presence in the global market.
What to Expect:
The 7th edition of ISDEF is to take place June 2-4, 2015. With an expected 250 exhibiting
companies, among them small to medium size enterprises as well as major contractors from the
Defence and HLS sector and 12,000 visitors from more than 90 nations, ISDEF will maintain its
position as the largest defence and security exhibition in Israel and the only international trade
show for the defence and security industry. Foreign companies will constitute nearly 50% of the
exhibitors and more than 85% of attendees have buying power. Decision makers from around the
world; including Ministers of Defence, Chiefs of Staff, Chiefs of Police, Ministers of Interior and
technical officers who are responsible for testing products attend ISDEF. ISDEF 2015 will include
National Pavilions, an SME zone, industry workshops and live demonstrations. Interoperability
will be among the focuses at ISDEF 2015. Due to the complexity of the region, the sharing of
expertise and knowledge is imperative in addressing future threats on a global level. Participation
of civil and military officials at the decision-making level is essential as the strategic environment
at ISDEF depends on strong cooperation with allies and partners.
Our Goals:
Are to maintain and further ISDEF’s effectivity as a business platform, a strategic environment
for international cooperation and dialogue and to ensure that end users are exposed to more of
the latest technological innovations, products and systems that could be implemented and used
in an operational capacity.

THE ISRAELI MARKET:
Defence and security in Israel are more than just exportable commodities, they are of
national priority. Foreign companies have an array of market opportunities in Israel which
range from Homeland Security applications to Defence systems. ISDEF is the only
international exhibition in which technical and field officers from the IDF attend. These
officers are a crucial part of the acquisition process in the IDF. ISDEF provides them with
exposure to a wide array of international companies and the opportunity to meet with the
manufacturer, maximizing business potential for the exhibiting company.
INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION:
The majority of the global defence industry is comprised of SME’s, which
play a pivotal role in the economic development of countries worldwide
because of their innovative capabilities, flexibility, and lower costs.
ISDEF provides a platform for foreign companies to enter the Israeli
market and form alliances defined by joint ventures and industrial
cooperation that fulfil the demands of end users in Israel and also
account for 3rd market opportunities.
3RD MARKET OPPORTUNITIES:
Third market access and new-to-market opportunities derived from
participating at ISDEF are inherent. 3rd market opportunities for companies
are the result of the large number of foreign attendees and cooperation with
companies who are working on projects abroad and seeking partners and
suppliers. In 2013, ISDEF had visitors from 93 nations, 74 foreign delegations,
33 from the private sector and 41 official delegations. Exhibiting companies
represented 14 countries and the overall international attendance was 1,500.
86% of all attendees have buying power-making ISDEF a significant event
for business on a global scale.
END USERS AND DECISION MAKERS:
ISDEF presents an inside look at the capabilities and
strategic developments of the region and highlights the
defence & security industry’s ability to adapt to new
challenges and provide effective solutions that meet the
requirements of end users. Significant opportunities
exist for manufactures to interact with potential clients,
generate business and form relationships with key
decision makers. Exhibitors have full exposure to
Israeli end users, manufacturers, foreign delegations
and meet with top ranking officials from the MOD,
IDF, SOF, Police, SAR Authorities and Civil Security
Agencies.

SHOW
ISDEF 2013 which took place June 4-6, in Tel-Aviv, was the largest defence and security event to ever take place in Israel.
Last year's International Defence and Security Expo (ISDEF), not only marked the 6th edition of the event but it also solidified
ISDEF as the major defence and security exhibition in Israel.
Quality over quantity is an appropriate phrase to summarize the 6th edition of ISDEF. It is important to note the sizable
achievements depicted at this year’s exhibition. The attendance figure has been confirmed. 7,200 visitors attended ISDEF from
93 nations.
ISDEF 2013 was home to the largest display of defence and HLS products,
which featured systems and technologies from 146 exhibiting companies
that represented 14 countries from across the globe. National Pavilions
and industry specific pavilions were also part of ISDEF 2013, making this
edition a truly global affair.
In addition to the tradeshow, the event program involved 5 professional
conferences which focused on current trends in security and defence. Over
the course of ISDEF, Workshops were held, which gave the opportunity to
companies and official organizations a chance to present their products
and solutions to an audience of professionals and decision makers. The
Live Demonstration facility let companies use their products and systems
in various scenarios by allowing them to present their capabilities in real-time.

  • 2. THE RIGHT PLACE THE RIGHT TIME THE RIGHT PEOPLE About UsISDEF’s Key Capabilities: Israel’s status as a leading provider of defence and security systems in the global market, coupled with ISDEF’s position as the premier international exhibition in Israel, provides exhibitors with the ability to enter the Israeli market, maintain local relationships, form joint-ventures and create third market opportunities. Israeli Companies are important end-users are involved in 100’s of projects throughout the world. This makes ISDEF’s international market opportunity a very effective business platform, no less than the domestic market. Companies that participate at ISDEF are more likely to be considered for projects and win compared to companies that do not make a presence. Exhibitors are granted access to end-users and key decision makers that would otherwise be nearly impossible to reach. These benefits are further enhanced for SMEs [international & local]- whom generally do not have the means to travel abroad promoting their products - giving them the advantage to generate business, increase exports and establish presence in the global market. What to Expect: The 7th edition of ISDEF is to take place June 2-4, 2015. With an expected 250 exhibiting companies, among them small to medium size enterprises as well as major contractors from the Defence and HLS sector and 12,000 visitors from more than 90 nations, ISDEF will maintain its position as the largest defence and security exhibition in Israel and the only international trade show for the defence and security industry. Foreign companies will constitute nearly 50% of the exhibitors and more than 85% of attendees have buying power. Decision makers from around the world; including Ministers of Defence, Chiefs of Staff, Chiefs of Police, Ministers of Interior and technical officers who are responsible for testing products attend ISDEF. ISDEF 2015 will include National Pavilions, an SME zone, industry workshops and live demonstrations. Interoperability will be among the focuses at ISDEF 2015. Due to the complexity of the region, the sharing of expertise and knowledge is imperative in addressing future threats on a global level. Participation of civil and military officials at the decision-making level is essential as the strategic environment at ISDEF depends on strong cooperation with allies and partners. Our Goals: Are to maintain and further ISDEF’s effectivity as a business platform, a strategic environment for international cooperation and dialogue and to ensure that end users are exposed to more of the latest technological innovations, products and systems that could be implemented and used in an operational capacity. THE 7 TH INTERNATIONAL DEFENCE & HLS EXPO ISDEF is the premier international defence and security exhibition in Israel. Since 2007, ISDEF has catered to the needs of the Military, Police, Special Forces and Homeland Security Organizations by exposing them to the products and solutions provided by innovative defence and security companies. The 7th edition of ISDEF will take place June 2-4, 2015 in hall #1 of Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center.

  • 8. Gain Access to THE ISRAELI MARKET: Defence and security in Israel are more than just exportable commodities, they are of national priority. Foreign companies have an array of market opportunities in Israel which range from Homeland Security applications to Defence systems. ISDEF is the only international exhibition in which technical and field officers from the IDF attend. These officers are a crucial part of the acquisition process in the IDF. ISDEF provides them with exposure to a wide array of international companies and the opportunity to meet with the manufacturer, maximizing business potential for the exhibiting company. INDUSTRIAL COOPERATION: The majority of the global defence industry is comprised of SME’s, which play a pivotal role in the economic development of countries worldwide because of their innovative capabilities, flexibility, and lower costs. ISDEF provides a platform for foreign companies to enter the Israeli market and form alliances defined by joint ventures and industrial cooperation that fulfil the demands of end users in Israel and also account for 3rd market opportunities. 3RD MARKET OPPORTUNITIES: Third market access and new-to-market opportunities derived from participating at ISDEF are inherent. 3rd market opportunities for companies are the result of the large number of foreign attendees and cooperation with companies who are working on projects abroad and seeking partners and suppliers. In 2013, ISDEF had visitors from 93 nations, 74 foreign delegations, 33 from the private sector and 41 official delegations. Exhibiting companies represented 14 countries and the overall international attendance was 1,500. 86% of all attendees have buying power-making ISDEF a significant event for business on a global scale. END USERS AND DECISION MAKERS: ISDEF presents an inside look at the capabilities and strategic developments of the region and highlights the defence & security industry’s ability to adapt to new challenges and provide effective solutions that meet the requirements of end users. Significant opportunities exist for manufactures to interact with potential clients, generate business and form relationships with key decision makers. Exhibitors have full exposure to Israeli end users, manufacturers, foreign delegations and meet with top ranking officials from the MOD, IDF, SOF, Police, SAR Authorities and Civil Security Agencies.
