An International tennis camp for teenagers between 14 and 17 years old who have
ready playing tennis. Tennis training sessions are conducted in Spanish by

Gavina Palace, a variety of 18th century

This is a Tennis Camp for players
from the age of 14 to 17 who
already have a minimum of 3-5
years of playing experience.
An average of 3.5 hours per day is
devoted to tennis: tennis lectures
once a week, training sessions to
prepare competitions and
tournaments.

A Tennis Camp for players aged 14 to 17 who have an acceptable level to compete,
who usually playing tennis in tournaments or who are registered in a tennis school or
in a tennis club (minimum 3-4 years). Each group of 4-5 players is led by a coach to
ensure participants receive personalised training and support.

Tennis training
The main goal of this camp is to develop
players’ technical and tactical skills, but
also learn new skills. All this is carried out
by means of a methodology that has been
awarded the prize for “The Best Tennis
School in Spain” twice by the Registro
Profesional de Tenis in Spain.
The camp is designed for players who
seriously want to improve their game.
Tennis coaches
The directors of the Tennis Academy,
Chimo Pérez and Manuel Sandoval, are
designing the training sessions wich are
inspired by the Spanish tennis philosophy.
There is about twenty professional tennis
trainers during the camp period; especially
the director of tennis camp, Pablo Navarro
Pastor, national and international trainer for
the RPT Europe but also graduated in
Master of high athletic performance at the
University of Murcia.

tennis school.

These 18 square metre rooms are fully-
furnished with 2 or 3 beds, wardrobe, and

During their stay, tennis camp participants take part in planned activities alongside
both Spanish and foreign participants from the basketball, sailing, windsurfing and
golf camps.

every student and acts
merely as an

Procedure
As stated in the parental permission form, if a minor
requires medical treatment, a physiotherapist/nurse
will provide appropriate medical care during the
camp programme.
If campers are seriously ill or injured, they will be
taken to the hospital or an ambulance will be called.
In less severe circumstances, campers will be
immediately taken to a doctor indicated by the
insurance company. In both cases, Zador staff will
immediately contact parents and/or guardians.

Alicante airport (El Altet) is located
11km from Alicante and it is about
30 min from the airport to the city
centre. Transfer service from
Alicante airport, bus/coach or train
station is NOT included in the
package price.
Upon request, a pick-up service is
available from the airport, train or
bus/coach station.
The cost for this service varies
depending on the time and place of
arrival or departure as well as the
age of the participant and if he/she
is flying as an unaccompanied
minor (UM).

Every day participants must wear appropriate sports clothing and extra clothes to
change into for the language school and Alicante city centre. It is forbidden to wear
swim suits on the street.
WORKOUT GEAR FOR 1 WEEK DOCUMENTS, MEDICINE
5 T‐Shirts and 5 gym shorts
5 pairs of socks
2 pairs of tennis shoes (new shoes are not a good idea; you will
get blisters and not be able to train)
1 sweatshirt or 1 tracksuit (just in case it gets colder, although
this is rare in Alicante)
Ankle, knee and wrist supports or any other protective gear
Protective tape for strapping body parts (i.e. fingers)
Compeed Blisters
Small toiletries kit to bring to the tennis court
Passport (original and 2 copies) plus 2 passport photos
Medication, if needed, in its original container, along with
the explicit dosage. A signed medical release form should
accompany all prescription medication (in English or
Spanish). Please be sure to bring a medical certificate to
camp and submit it with the photograph upon arrival.
First aid kit with plasters/band‐aids, ibuprofen, paracetamol
or other medicine that may be necessary.
Parental Permission.
Health Statement& Medical Waiver
If the camper wears glasses or contacts, bring 2 pairs of
glasses and sufficient contact lens cleaner.
DAILY CLOTHES FOR 1 WEEK OTHER ITEMS
Shorts, trousers, T‐Shirts
1 fleece jacket or sweater
Plenty of socks and underwear.
Pyjamas / sleepwear
2‐3 swimsuits, swim cap, sun hat
Shoes or sandals plus flip‐flops for the shower, swimming pool
and beach
Sunglasses  and sun protection appropriate for skin type with
high protection factor (30 ‐ 50 factor)
Insect repellent
Towels for the swimming pool and beach (2‐3 medium‐size towels).
It is compulsory to bring at least one towel because the room towels
cannot be taken out of the apartment.
For missing towels in the apartment, there is €25 fee

VALUABLES POCKET MONEY
Zador cannot be responsible for valuables brought to camp. We
strongly discourage bringing any valuables. Although the world does
not stop if you are without a computer for a few days, there is a
computer room available with free Internet access that can be used
during free time.
Students do not have much time to spend money during the
day, except on ice cream or snacks before lunch and
souvenirs, T‐shirts or presents on Saturday and Sunday
during the excursion to an adventure park. Therefore, they
do not need a lot of pocket money. We suggest
approximately €10‐15 per day. If the student needs funds
they may be sent by Western Union (not by bank transfer to
ZADOR’s account).

How can I enrol my child on the camp
Complete the online registration form:
 If there is  more than one participant, please complete one form for each.
 Please check that you have completed all the items with * ‐Otherwise, it is
impossible to submit the form.
 After submitting the form, the website becomes blank and a message will
appear at the top  of the screen beginning with: "We have already received
your registration..." indicating that the information has been saved  in our
database.
 Within two working days you will receive an email with the camp price
including all the services requested and instructions on how to make the
payment. You can either pay a deposit or the payment in full.
 You have to send by WeTransfer a video of the tennis player.
 The registration is not valid until we receive the payment in full. Participants
will be placed on a first‐come, first‐served basis after receiving  registration
forms and  payments. For participants who have already paid the deposit,
final payments are due by April 1st.
 After April 1
st
, payment must be done in full.
 For the bank transfer, please include the registration code and participant's
name, and please send a copy of receipt by fax or email.
 Once the enrolment form and a copy of the receipt  have been received, we
will send a confirmation email with the documents to be completed and
returned  before camp:   Health Statement & Medical Waiver and Parental
Permission Form. The Camp Rules and a link to complete a special form for
campers  regarding arrival and departure times will also be provided.
 1 week before the camp begins, a camp handbook and the insurance policy
will be provided.

What is your refund
policy
 Once enrolled, there are no refunds
unless you purchase the
cancellation insurance. Please read
the terms and conditions for the
circumstances included and
excluded by the policy.
 It is necessary to contract a
cancellation insurance for each
invoice (i.e. one for the deposit and
another for the full payment).
 Without the cancellation insurance
and if you have paid the deposit,
there are no refunds. If for any
reason you have to cancel before
the final payment date, we will
issue a camp voucher for all camp
fees paid except  the registration
fee. This voucher is valid for the
camp in the following year,  and it is
only transferable to an immediate
family member.  Refunds will ONLY
be given with the purchase of a
Cancellation Policy.
 If a participant decides to travel
during the period of the reservation
and he/she does not attend some
lessons or training sessions, no
refund will be given.
 After the camp has started, no
refund will be given in case of the
camper withdrawing for family,
personal or disciplinary reasons
before the end of the camp.
 If the programme is cancelled by
ZADOR, the full amount received
will be refunded.

What does the cancellation policy cover?
 If you want to be covered by the cancellation policy, you must purchase
the policy for each payment.
What does my tuition include?

Is the camp in a safe area? Are campers
supervised?
 Yes to both questions. The hotel is North of Alicante, in a quiet and safe
neighbourhood, near the beach and the Sports Halls. If Tennis Camp
participants have hotel accommodation, they are highly supervised. Only
during their free time or during the time to rest can they be in the common
rooms or watching TV without camp counsellors, who remain available in
the building.
 Campers must participate in all scheduled on‐campus and off‐campus
activities, for which there are always adult supervisors.
 Campers cannot leave the camp premises alone. Only campers can go out
alone with prior parental permission.

How many players are in the same room?
 The majority of rooms are twin rooms, although there are several triple
rooms.
 Single rooms are available on request.

How do I handle
roommate requests?
 There is a question on the
enrolment form where you can
specify if the camper is tra‐
velling with a companion and
write the companion's name. If
they are the same gender, we
can accommodate them
together.
Can parents join
the Tennis Camp?
 If you want to come with your
children and are interested in
languages, you can have a
Spanish course in the morning
and enjoy your holidays in
Alicante. We can also suggest
various hotels and activities.
Please feel free to ask for
further information about
Spanish programmes for
families.
 If a tennis player comes with a
brother, sister or friends and
they prefer to take part in
another sports camp, they can.

Is there accommodation available before or after
the Camp?
 Yes, this is possible because the sports camps are from June 29 to August
23, and therefore there will already be adult supervisors at the Hotel or in
the host families
 Additional accommodation is available at an extra cost, but the camper may
have to change his/her room at the Hotel.
 The extra cost depends not only on the accommodation price but also on the
activities scheduled for the extra days, as participants cannot be alone in the
residence.
Is there a laundry service provided?
 The hotel has a laundry service with an xtra cost.
Are the campers placed into groups based on age
or ability?
 Both. Coaches first divide campers into groups based on age and on tennis
level. Then campers are evaluated by staff as they go through a series of skill‐
testing drills.
What are the ratios between staff and participants?
 At the tennis  training sessions we typically have 5‐6 players per coach, plus
additional staff on campus, including trainers, directors and assistants.
 At the language school, there are 7 students per classroom.
Are all fees included in the camp price?
 Yes, except arrival or departure transfer services, lunch on the first day for
early arrivals, lunch on the last day for late departures, optional laundry
service, and personal expenses (beverages, ice‐creams, etc.).
 All entrance tickets for activities are included in the price.

What is the best time
for phone calls
 Although mobile phones are not
forbidden at the camp, they will
not be allowed at training
sessions or in language classes
and their use may be regulated.
Please also be aware of the
possibility that phones may run
out of battery, break or be lost.
 Campers have free time at: 8:00
to 9:00, 12:30 to 14:00 and
21:30 to 22:00. Please arrange
suitable calling times with your
son/daughter.
 Parents, please note: If your
son/daughter has a mobile
phone, please avoid calling
everyday to “check if everything
is ok.”
Among the educational merits of
a teenager attending the camp is
the experience they gain of
being “away from home.”
Furthermore, if you are based
abroad, it is important that you
avoid night‐time phone calls by
taking into account the time
difference with Spain. Please
also be aware that your children
will be extremely busy during
their time at the camp.
 All campers will be able to call
home on the day they arrive at
the camp.
