Rounding numbers is very useful in everyday life when it comes to fast calculations or
communicating large numbers. It obeys to the following rules:
Determine what your rounding digit is and look to the right side of it.
● If the digit is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 do not change the rounding digit. All digits that are on the
right hand side of the requested rounding digit will become 0. (rounding down)
● If the digit is 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, your rounding digit rounds up by one number. All digits
that are on the right hand side of the requested rounding digit will become 0.
(rounding up)
e.g.: the number 12.93421 when rounded to the second decimal place becomes: 12.93, as
4 is the digit in the right of 3. When rounded to the closest integer 12.93421 becomes: 13,
as next to 2 there is a 9.
Based on the rounding scene from Veggos’ movie, we adapted 2 games, the aim of which is to
exercise the player’s ability to quickly and correctly round up numbers.
In the first game, Veggos gives you numbers and you have to round them up as fast as you can;
firstly to the closest integer and then to the first decimal place.

various other numbers fall from the top. You can move the figure using the right and left arrows,
so that only the numbers that are a rounded form of the one on the figure fall on it. Catch only
