 Global Connections
MASERGY delivers multiple service options – Private IP, VPLS, Public IP and VPWS – over VLANs for
Ethernet access with all the benefits of MPLS.

MASERGY supplies Ethernet across a serial connection at port speeds of 1.5 MB to Gigabit – and anywhere
in between – to all your national and global office locations even when native Ethernet is not available.
Choose either single or multiple transport services in as many quantities and combinations needed. Best
of all, you will save money by combining your public and private networks on a single circuit – without
 sacrificing security or flexibility.

 Key Features

 Global MPLS
• Native IP MPLS backbone
• Supports up to six classes of
 service – Limited, Normal data,
 Priority data, Critical data, Video
 and Voice
• Extended network reach
• Fully-meshed
• Layer 2 security
• Private and public network integration

 Advanced Functionality
• Full control over routing (optional)
• Dynamic bandwidth allocation
• Simple configuration and management
• Highly scalable
• IP multicast support

 Superior Performance
• Guaranteed site-to-site QoS
• Ease of Ethernet
• Industry-leading Service Page 1 of 2

Flexible Service Options
MASERGY delivers multiple services over VLANs. Customers can choose any combination of Layer 2 and
Layer 3 VPNs on the same access circuit.

Private IP – a private IPVPN network service based on RFC 4364. This Layer 3 service offers all the advantages
of any-to-any communication with the equivalent security of Layer 2 services. More than one Private IP
connection can be implemented easily for customers who have separate networks within their organization.

VPLS – a Layer 2 IPVPN service based on RFC 4762 with all the advantages of MPLS that is ideal for
customers interested in doing their own routing across their wide area network.

Public IP – a Layer 3 service that provides Internet access for customers over a completely separated
logical connection from private traffic.

VPWS – a Layer 2 service that connects sites using a simulated point-to-point connection over a logical
connection separate from the Public IP and Private IP connections.

Flexible QoS Options
Each circuit comes standard with Normal, Priority and Critical data QoS. Customers can add Voice or Video
QoS to any circuit at a nominal additional monthly charge.

Voice Plane – Prioritized above all other traffic. Engineered to deliver toll-quality voice regardless of all other
network traffic.

Video Plane – Prioritized above all data traffic but will not interfere with Critical Data. Ideal for Telepresence/
HD video conferencing and video streaming applications.

Critical Data – Highest priority data traffic for
applications that require guaranteed bandwidth. This
plane can burst to full line rate if needed.

Priority Data – Best-effort data traffic for applications
more important than normal best-efforts data. Ideal
for CRM, ERP, and financial software.

Normal Data – Traditional IP equivalent to most
service providers’ best effort service. Ideal for Internet
browsing and low-priority business applications.

Limited Plane – Serviced at a lower priority than
Normal Data. Ideal for data back-up or packet loss Page 2 of 2
