Specialised Agency of ECOWAS, WAHO enjoys administrative and financial autonomy to lead the implementation of programs and activities of the organisation coordinated by the General Directorate, such as Planning and Technical Assistance, Primary HealthCare, Epidemic and Disease Control or Research and Health Management Information System. The SFMC: the French Society of Disaster Medicine is a 30 years old non profit organisation grouping professionals involved in prevention, control, strategic crisis / disaster management such as doctors, paramedics, pharmacists, veterinarians , servants of emergency services, health administrators, personal communities, security and prevention services, members of associations, etc. The SFMC organises seminars, training programs (CME, CPD, …) and regularly edit and publish good practice and recommendations regarding Disaster Medicine. The FMCS has build and developed the French concept of Disaster Medicine both in France and abroad.
