The authorized share capital of the company was 4 crore during the startup of the company
i.e. 4 from the year 1992to 1993. The capital started has shown a rapid growth the from the
2006 where the growth has been increased to 50 crore that means the share has been
increased by 12.5 times considering 1992 as the base year. The company has shown a huge
growth in authorized share capital that is, 2000 crore in year 2016-17 which is 500 times
more than the year 1992.. This indicates that the company has increased multifold during
these years
Face Value:
Although the authorized share capital has been increased but the face value of the shares
has been decreased that is, in the year 1992 the face value of each share was Rs. 10 and till
the year 1998-1999 the face value remained the same which is Rs. 10 per share. After the
financial year 1998-1999, company reduced the face value from Rs. 10 to Rs. 5 per shares
because number of issued share capital had been increased to 50 crore, so reducing the face
value of share was considered as a viable option
