  1. Eight delivers on it’s mission every day. Just turn on your TV or computer and see safe, quality, interruption free educational programming for children. Truly balanced and unbiased public affairs programs are found on the most trusted TV station in Arizona. Our arts and cultural programs are the biggest and best – without commercial interruption.
  2. Over the past decade Eight has won more than 38 Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards as well as the Telly, the Cine Gold Eagle, the New York Festival and Associated Press Broadcaster’s Association Awards for local productionsHorizon received the 1996 Governor’s Award form the Arizona Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This special Emmy is the chapter’s highest Honor.
  3. Of all networks, the general public exudes the highest level of confidence in PBS – with 73% agreeing that PBS serves all children, regardless of their circumstances. Additionally, 73% of respondents indicated that the network provides “a trusted and safe place for children to watch television,” and 70% say that PBS serves as a “safe haven for children.” • PBS ties with military defense as #1 in tax value among 20 federally funded services and institutions, with 20% stating it as an excellent value for tax dollars.• PBS remains #1 in public trust, with 49% trusting PBS a great deal. Second in trust are “courts of law,” which are trusted a great deal by 27%.
  4. In partnership with Arizona State University, Eight serves as a trusted, independent catalyst for community involvement.

No obscene language, images or commercial messages for adult consumer products.The nation's educators named PBS their top source of video in the classroom for both off-air taping and product purchase – out performing such well-known media companies as Discovery Channel, History Channel or Nickelodeon.
