Normally a member is designated as a host for visitors and will be responsible for ensuring that you or any other visitor is introduced to people that could help your business. The half hour breakout session is a useful precursor to the meeting and helps break the ice. The environment is informal, low key and completely unstuffy.

6. Member & Visitor Spotlight You usually spend between 40-60 seconds and address the group about what referrals you are looking for. The members make notes and the group are then given an opportunity to interact with you to try and identify how the referrals can be sought. From these, you can then identify which members might be able to offer you referrals and how you would benefit from chatting further to them perhaps over breakfast later or a coffee at some other point in time. The Group Chairman also will follow up actions agreed in the previous meeting to measure success.

After each meeting either the Group Chairman or Coordinator will address the membership via email a day or so after the meeting.
