Why taking the time to read this handbook from start to finish may be the most important
investment you make in your online business this year…
In this book, I’m going to reveal to you the biggest misconception of the Internet marketing

But before we begin, I want you take a look at this Facebook update I posted January 22nd

which literally went viral…

It’s probably too hard to read, so let me give you the gist of it.
I’d just crossed the $50,000 / month barrier in my online business.  Little did I know, over the next
9 days of that month, I’d actually reach $81,500 in revenue. It completely blew my mind, because
I’d been struggling to make money online for years, but more about that in a moment.
Most people were happy for me and said congratulations.  I remember leaving these not‐so‐wise
words at the end of the post:
“Whether you like it or not, in getting from Point A [making no money online] to Point
B [making more money than you can spend], you’re going to make a certain number
of mistakes.

My advice?  Start making them…”
I thought it was pretty good advice at the time.  Now, I KNOW it’s not true and totally unnecessary.
The truth is, when you find someone successful, you can easily model them and get success much
faster than if you go it alone. And that’s the purpose of this handbook; to save you having to make
the same costly mistakes that I did. Everything I’m about to share with you has been discovered
through years and years of painful (and very expensive) trial and error.
None of it is based on ‘theory’, plus, if you read every page of this handbook, I PROMISE it will save
you years of stress and heartache, and tens of thousands of dollars in costly mistakes like I made. If
you want things to change and make more money, spend more time with your family, and get
better results… then you need to focus on everything I share with you in this report. Then you
simply apply and profit. That’s it.
So, switch off all distractions and go somewhere quiet for the next half hour as I open up my
journey into Internet riches...

SO WHO AM I AND WHY THE
HECK SHOULD YOU LISTEN TO
ME?
I’m Matt Lloyd and at present, I’ve got a cushy office here in Perth, Australia. Maybe you’ve heard
of me, maybe not. Whatever the case, I should tell you now that the little online business I started
out of my bedroom back in November 2008 has just hit $150,000 PER MONTH.
I’m certainly no guru, and I’ll tell you right now what other so called guru’s won’t when they flash
their bank account millions at you – the figures they share with you are GROSS figures and NOT net
revenue! That’s a HUGE difference and what sets me apart from others in my industry is that I’m
about as transparent as they come!
Here’s a list of my monthly overheads:
 Commissions to partners ‐ $40,000
 Office rent ‐ $960
 Merchant fees ‐ $5000
 Staff ‐ $2000
 Advertising ‐ $20,000

So after all this, I’m left with around $60,000, which after taxes leaves me around $44,880 in pure
profit.
I’m basically left with around 30% of my original sum for myself. I’m telling you this so you
understand that you can’t get millions in your bank account by next week, no matter WHAT the
gurus say. I’m also telling you this so you know the truth about earnings and can work out yourself
what you can REALLY make in profits each month.
I’m a real believer in following people who walk their talk, after all, you wouldn't take advice from
someone on how to get rich, when they’re struggling to pay for their bills would you? And I’ve
learnt the hard way about who you SHOULD take advice from.  Let me give you an insight into my
life in the IM world...


I started online in 2008, in probably the same way you did – with a lure of making money quickly. I
saw an ad online that went something along the lines of:
'Make $5000 a week working
just 2 hours per day'

You see, during this time, I'd set myself a target of having $100,000 by the end of the year.  In fact,
I was obsessed with it.
I'd printed off several A4 pieces of paper that had lines from top to bottom with the same
sentence repeatedly: I will have a networth of $100,000 by the end of 2008
I stuck those pages all around the walls of the flat I was living out of.  Bathroom mirrors... next to
my computer, on the ceiling above my bed...you name it, I had it. In fact, I was obsessed. However,
there was a big problem – it was already August 2008 and I was tens of thousands off my target. As
a university student, I made my living mowing lawns and clearing weeds. I was renting in one of
the wealthiest parts of the city so was lucky to clear $600 / week.  At that rate, there was no way
in hell I would reach my $100,000 target…
So when I read that ad, I decided to check it out and I signed up at his website. Little did I know
that one innocent action would drastically alter the course of my life forever.
The next day, I got a call from the site owner who invited me to this company presentation for
what he called a ‘business opportunity.’ So I went and listened to their persuasive pitch selling me
this idea of making a lot of money...and I left $2000 poorer (oh and that was just the START!) in the
hope their business would work for me.
Soon after, I went to my first company event in Sydney. The founder of this company, was a true
master of pitching from the stage (and as I'd later find out, completely dodgy) was explaining how I
could make more money.
Of the 3 products (which I only had the first), I needed to have the 2nd one ($9000) to make the
$5000 commissions selling it... and the third one ($15,000) to make the $9000 commissions selling
that. In other words, if I didn’t have the remaining products, I would miss out on the big bucks. At

the end of the pitch, everyone in that entire room was scrambling to the stage to get in on this
new opportunity except two people who stayed put‐ One of them was me.
Dropping $24,000 was a huge deal to me at the time... that was a lot of lawn mowing! But 1 week
later, after really thinking it through, I decided I was either all the way in ... or not in at all. So with
some apprehension, I wired this guy $24,000 of my hard‐earned cash.
It was one of the worst decisions ever! The exchange rate was not in my favour, so I ended up
paying closer to $40,000 which left me almost broke – however I reminded myself that I’d make it
back quickly...but it never happened. 9 Months later, I hadn’t made a single measly dollar. I even
quit the final year of college to devote everything to making it rich online...and had nothing to
show for it.
The stress was too much for me and I became clinically depressed, taking the anti‐depressant
Zoloft just to help me cope. My loved ones were very concerned and thought my dreams about
'getting rich online' were a joke. And, as much as I hated to admit they were right, I was starting to
believe them.
But then a miracle happened…
Late 2009, I did get my first sale... a young lady in South Australia bought through me, and I made a
$1000 commission!
I still remember waking up and seeing that commission notification on my phone… I was ecstatic!
Now, I didn’t get to keep all that $1000, since I’d built up a debt from advertising on Google, and
they’d been coming after me with threatening legal letters for months… so I used the money to
pay them off.
But still, I’d now proven to myself it could work. About 3 weeks after that, I got my next sale.  And
then my next. Slowly, results began dripping in and my quest for making it online was starting to
materialize. But now, I was getting a little smarter and analysing what people wanted which I could
turn into cash.
For example, if someone wanted a website, I could give them a basic Wordpress site and have it up
and running in a few hours. Or of someone needed email sequences, I could do this too. I had
enough Internet Marketing knowledge that I created my first info‐products quickly, and within a
year, I had 14 of them including:
 My Email Marketing Empire ($194)
 How To Build A Funded Proposal ($194)

 Affiliate Bonus Domination ($291)
 The O.P.T. Formula ($194)
Today, they sell like hotcakes, but back then I’d be lucky if I made a sale a day, making a few
hundred bucks. Every so often, I’d have days where I’d make $500, and got excited thinking that if I
did this every day, I could be earning $3,000 a week!
And I did... then $5,000... then $10,000 and so on.
By March 2012, I’d made over $120,000 in a single month, and let me tell you that this was the one
of the best days of my life. All those sleepless nights clunking away on my keyboard in the hope of
making money had finally paid off.  I was now making money faster than I could possibly spend it.
My list members were totally curious about how I’d made my money and literally begged me to do
a live speaking gig.  To be honest with you, I was terrified of public speaking… so, resisted doing a
live event for a long time.  But in May, 2012, I finally gave them what they wanted.
I did my first live event in San Diego, and called it 'Online Income Revolution.'  I didn’t want a big
crowd, so we deliberately made it a high‐end event ‐ $1000 a seat, and we sold 56 of them.

I know you’re probably thinking,
“Matt, That’s Great For You, But How Can I Start Doing Those Kind Of Numbers For Myself?”
We’ll get to that in a moment, but I want you to understand that everything I’m about to share
with you is based on experience.  And, I’ve been where you are right now.


I know what it's like to be making absolutely NOTHING in your online business... to having your
friends and family think it's a joke... and then even starting to have those thoughts yourself.
But more important, I know the exact steps you need to take right now to turn it all around. So in
the rest of this guide, I’ll reveal how you too can start making real money online. Now I’m not
promising you massive riches, but I AM promising you ways in which you can make a good living
online.

WHY EVERYTHING YOU’VE
HEARD SO FAR IS A LIE
What You Must Do Instead To Profit Online
The first thing you must know, is that just about EVERY ‘internet marketing guru’ is only giving you
half the story…
For example, if you go to Clickbank.com, and look in the ecommerce section, you'll see what I call
'the dark side' of internet marketing... A whole bunch of people talking about how easy it is to
make money online... how they've discovered some 'push button software' that makes $15,434 a
week, and how you can do it too, if you'll just pay them $27.00. And, if you watch through their
entire sales video, you may be tempted to buy ‐ hell, sometimes I even am, even though I should
know better. Maybe you’ve got some of these ‘money making’ schemes lying around too...
But here’s the thing: Most of these guys don’t make money doing the things they teach. They
make money online by selling ‘how to make money online’ stuff.  That’s it. Shocking yes? Well, the
reason they’re able to make so much money with it is because they’re all sharing their lists with
each other.
Let me explain. So called ‘gurus’ tend to have rather large lists, and all they do when they release a
product is promote each other’s stuff to their list.  That’s it. Some of these lists run into hundreds
of thousands and these ‘gurus’ know little about lead generation and internet marketing. They’re
just sharing the same customers over and over again, and because they’re all promoting one
course at the same time, there’s massive social proof.
The truth is, building an online business is very hard work, and it’s rarely as easy as the ‘gurus’
make out. Now don’t get me wrong, of course there are shortcuts and easier ways to make money
online than being stuck to your computer for years at a time – and as you’ll see towards the end of
this report, there is an alternative way, but more about that later. But, if you’re going to go down
the traditional route of making money online (like I did, and which I don’t recommend) there'll be
times when you find this really hard.

The Elephant In The Room...

The internet marketing industry is littered with failure left, right and center...yet you’ll rarely hear
the gurus talk about it. In fact, 97% of people who get started online, fail. Shocking I know, but
industry figures show that the chances of success are less than 3%. Can you imagine that? Anyone
who tells you that Internet Marketing is easy is in fact lying to you. It’s hard work. And if you don’t
know what’s really involved, take a tour with a typical Internet Marketer...

The Typical Journey Of An Internet Marketer…
Let’s meet John.  One day, John is surfing the internet.  Out of the corner of his eye…
he see’s a little ad, that says:
“I Make $5,000 / Day From Home.  Click Here To See How”
John ends up buying whatever product is being sold, and he’s very excited, convinced
he is soon going to get rich. So he starts spending an hour a day in front of his
computer, working on his business.  He sets up his first blog… he starts writing some
articles to try and get some traffic… he learns what an email auto responder is.
Then he starts playing around with some affiliate marketing. At this stage, John’s
wife and friends think he’s bought into some ‘get rich quick’ scheme, and don’t really
think he’ll ever make money with it, but let him go.  And a few jokes go by… but John
is determined that this is going to work. So, he keeps plugging away.  But soon, John
starts to get a little overwhelmed.  There’s just so much to learn and do…
He’s got to figure out how to set up a Wordpress blog…  how to do FTP… how to set
up an email auto responder… and then, he’s got to figure traffic – PPC, CPA, PPV,
newsletter marketing, joint ventures, article marketing, SEO, reciprocal links…
There’s just so much to do that John is beginning to feel out of his element. John
spends hours glued to his computer trying to figure it out, while his family and
friends are concerned he’s been conned and his new business will never work. A few
months in and he still hasn’t made any money, and is now starting to think his family
is right. The worse thing is that if John had known what was involved in the first
place, he would never have signed up.
6 months later, John is yet to make a dime online and by now is angry, frustrated and
feels like a failure. He’s lost time and money and is about ready to call it a day.

Perhaps you can relate to John? If you can, I’ve got some bad news for you ‐ If you keep doing
what you’re doing and don’t make any changes, you’ll continue to stay stuck.

Like I said, 97% of people in internet marketing don’t make money and that’s because they’re
focusing on all the wrong things meaning they’ll NEVER make any money.
The sad thing is that if you keep going as you are, this industry will pull you through its ‘system’
and you’ll come out of it frustrated, exhausted and broke. But it doesn’t have to be this way, and
as I’ll reveal later in this report, you CAN make money WHEN you have the right systems and
support in place.
The Internet Marketing Myth that everyone can get rich quick is what I call the elephant in the
room.  It’s a reality that no one really seems to want to address… and no one has been able to find
a solution to, until now.
The truth is that if you’ve been struggling to make it online… and you’re not yet making the kind of
money you’d like… it’s not actually your fault, because you’ve been misled.
You’ve been told that this business is all about getting more traffic… when in fact, it’s about
something entirely different.

The Major Hurdles No-One Tells You About…
When you’re new… you don’t know how to create an offer.  You don’t know how to write copy.
You don’t know how to create your own info‐products. And like most newbies online, it gets pretty
overwhelming when you have to learn all of this! Unless you’re willing to put in a solid 10 hours a
day, for at least a year, you don’t stand a chance‐ there’s way too much to learn.
It’s a tough path to go down, and one that very few people succeed in. In one way, I was lucky
when I started out – I was just 21 years old with no commitments, so I had time on my hands
which is something that most people don’t.
Here’s the thing, when you have any products you sell online, you have to go through a series of
steps FIRST before you can turn cold traffic into warm leads and then hot buyers...Here’s how it
works:
 Drive traffic to a squeeze page which collects the names and email addresses of every person who
opts into your list. Traffic that opts in becomes a lead in your list
 Send a series of emails to presell traffic and make them receptive to your offerings
 Create and send to webinars and trainings to sell them on your product
 Send your pre‐sold leads to a sales page to convert leads to buyers

Now I don’t know if you’re familiar with the above process, but we refer to it as a sales funnel. A
sales funnel needs squeeze pages, autoresponders and sales pages, but you need to be a superb
copywriter to write them (which can take years to master this skill) or you need to hire a
copywriter to write it for you – which can cost thousands of dollars. And you have to know how to
set the system up so it’s all automated. It’s basically a royal pain in the butt.
An easier way, would be to find someone who already has a product they’re offering and who
already has a high‐converting sales funnel. And then, you just send traffic to their site… and you
get a % of the commissions.  Usually, it’s 30% – 50%. This is called affiliate marketing.  And 10 years
ago… it was an option.  It was easy to make serious money doing affiliate marketing.  You could go
to Google Adwords, start sending traffic to your affiliate links, and basically print your own money!
You could buy clicks for pennies… that were worth dollars, but that was before Google shut down
the entire affiliate marketing industry with their famous slaps. Apart from Google changing their
rules, traffic prices have gone up making the whole process a lot more expensive. Statistics show
that the price of traffic is continuing to rise.
And that’s a huge problem, because affiliate marketing margins are too small – usually up to 50%
which isn’t enough to be able to buy traffic, and make a profit.
Example:  You might have to spend $200 on traffic to make a $300 sale, but what happens if the
price of traffic rises (which it already is doing)?
Increased competition is pushing up traffic prices… and the Average Cost Per Click (CPC’s) is rising…

All this means is that you’re unlikely to make a decent profit which is going to make your time and
your energy worthwhile.

Unless you have a sales funnel that is able to take that traffic, and convert it into money so you can
pay for the increasing costs, your survival online is limited. This is the exact reason why the failure
rate in Internet Marketing is so high.
Back in the early 2000s, Google Adwords provided all the traffic you could ever want‐ and the
industry was wide open, meaning highly profitable months were very possible...but all that has
now changed and the margins on affiliate marketing are too small to profit properly.
So in reality, if you want to make a 6 or 7 figure income online, you’re going to need to create your
own info‐products, and your own sales funnels, since this is where the money is...or is it? Let me
tell you WHY even though this is highly profitable, it’s also the hardest, most expensive and time
consuming method to make money online...

Why The Odds Are Stacked Against You
Succeeding When You Start Out…
There are certain things you need to know how to do if you want to create a high converting sales
funnel:
 You need to know how to write persuasive sales copy
 How to create your own information product
 How to create a sales funnel (squeeze page, sales page, email follow up, etc)
 Apply for and set up a merchant account
 Integrate shopping carts with your email auto responder and payment gateway
 Handle customer support
 Deal with refunds and chargebacks
 Constantly split test new offers
 Setting up automated webinars
 … and the list goes on.

These things can take years and years of experience (and a lot of money) to master – and in the
quest to master these things, 97% of people doing this will go broke! For every dollar you spend
online to advertise, you get very little back if any, and when you keep repeating this cycle, you end
up with no money!

What I’m basically saying to you is that you can't buy traffic PROFITABLY, because you’ll have more
money going out than coming in... And this is why so many people fail in this industry. But the
repercussions are far more sinister than that because in your dream of following Internet Riches,
you lose valuable time with loved ones, you might have already quit your job and you may even
end up in severe debt just like I did.

“But What If I Focus On Getting Free Traffic?”
You may be thinking, that one way of avoiding this path, is to build your online business using ‘free
methods’ to get traffic.  That way… you have no money going out the door.
But again… this is a typical mistake a lot of newbies make. That’s because FREE traffic is a myth.
Free traffic requires a lot of time, and as the well known saying goes, time is money. Literally.
That’s because your time is worth something, and I’ll illustrate this with an example. Let’s say you
want to do SEO and spend 2 hours a day writing articles for the next 3 months, trying to get ranked
in the search engines. You’ve basically spent 180 hours of your life doing this task.
The worth of your time is in proportion to how much you want to earn. So if you want to earn 1
million dollars a year (which is $84,000 / month), then you need to value your time at about $350 /
hour… minimum. So in reality, those few hours a day spent writing articles for ‘free’ are NOT really
free‐ they actually cost you thousands, and thousands of dollars.  And then if you target the wrong
keywords, it’s all worthless anyway!
The point is, there is NO SUCH THING as free traffic.  ALL traffic has a cost which means you
CANNOT buy traffic profitably! In reality, if you want to make a REAL living online, it’s not about
buying cheap traffic. It’s actually about:

What does this REALLY mean to you? Let me explain with 2 simple formulas which are the
backbone of making all the money you’ll ever want online. And again… what I’m about to show
you will sound deceptively simple, and in fact, it’s so simple that 97% of the industry misses it –
which is why they continue to struggle.
Making money online really boils down to this:
Traffic + Conversion = Sales
Traffic in front of your website is not the most important thing in the beginning… instead, your
focus should be on building a website that is traffic worthy. This is key to your success! Most
websites are not traffic worthy.
First question:  How much can we afford to spend to get a customer?
This will be the most important number for you to know (that 99% of ecommerce website owners
have no idea of):
Average Visitor Value = Gross Sales / Unique Visitors
Otherwise known as Earnings Per Click (EPC)
And as for free traffic, I’ve already explained that in some way or the other, it COSTS you money.
Let me ask you – wouldn’t it make perfect sense to design a website that can convert traffic into
sales before you even think about getting traffic?
Again:  Traffic + Conversions = Sales
Most (especially newbies) think it's:  Traffic = Sales
This isn’t true. Let me explain – in 2000, Pets.com went on a traffic rampage... they spent millions
on Superbowl ads... and went bankrupt within 12 months.  Why?  They were paying roughly $270
per customer to get traffic‐ but only monetising that traffic to the tune of about $75. There was
more being spent than coming in. More traffic wouldn’t have helped unless it was paying out $270
per customer. Unfortunately most entrepreneurs make this deadly mistake and don’t even know
it.

It’s not about more traffic, it’s about: “How do I make more profitable sales?”
More Traffic = More Money*
* But ONLY if your marketing and sales mechanism can extract more value from that traffic than it
costs…
“You have to be able to take the traffic your marketing machine pulls in and send it
through a sales process that makes it more valuable to you than the value the market
placed on it.  And if you don't have that capability yet, then you need to make some
changes.”

Calculating Your Average Visitor Value…
You need to know the average value of your visitor before you can understand if it’s costing you or
making you money.
Remember, your average visitor value = how much a click is worth to you.  It's also the maximum
you can pay for a visitor to your site and still break even. Unless you know these values, you
cannot make informed traffic buying decisions.  Any traffic you buy will be based on 'intuition' or
'hope.'
Example:  Let's say you send 100 unique visitors to your site. And from those 100 visitors, you get
just one sale‐ for $100 (conversion rate of 1%)
To work out the average visitor value of your site, simply take your gross sales, and divide it by
your unique visitors‐ for the same time period.
So, take $100, and divide it by 100 unique visitors, and you are left with an average visitor value of
$1.
That means that on average, every visitor you got that day was worth $1 to your business.

(How Traffic Really Works)
There are 2 formulas for making money online is this:
1.)  Traffic + Conversions = Sales

Now, here’s why everyone misses it:  because all the gurus go around flogging courses on how to
get traffic, which is why every Internet marketing newbie thinks it’s about traffic. But it’s not.  It’s
actually about how well you’re able to convert that traffic into paying customers. Let’s go back to
the formula:
Traffic + Conversions = Sales
So let’s say you get no conversions, then:
Traffic + 0 Conversions = Sales
Which equals 0 sales.  Any number you get for traffic, multiplied by 0, is STILL 0.
If you have no conversion, traffic is worthless. BUT, if you have conversion – you’ll have all the
traffic you could ever want, and that’s because affiliates will always send their traffic to whoever
pays the highest price for it…
In our industry, those who’ve been the best at converting traffic have made the vast, vast majority
of the money:
1.)  Jonathan Budd ($14 million so far, in 7 years)
2.)  Mike Dillard (millions)
3.)  Anne Sieg (millions)

And since everyone wants to monetise traffic…where do you think the top affiliates are sending
traffic? To people like me.  People like Mike Dillard, or Jonathan Budd.

Case Study: Over 2,008 Leads a Week From
Affiliates Alone…
Put it this way, I spent 3 years fine tuning my sales funnel to maximize how well it converted traffic
into paying customers, and I spent thousands of dollars trying to work it out. Everything changed
when I realized it’s not about cheap traffic, but about monetizing the traffic you’re already getting
– so you have money coming in, which can be reinvested back into the traffic – and make a profit
in the process.
Do you see how powerful this simple shift in your thinking is??
If you truly get what I’m sharing with you… then you’ll understand the most important cause of my
success. Remember, Average Visitor Value = Gross Sales / Unique Visitors  (Otherwise known as
Earnings Per Click (EPC))
Let me say it again, there’s no such thing as free traffic, and NO, More Traffic DOES NOT EQUAL
More Money unless your sales funnel is highly optimized at converting as much of the traffic into
paying customers.  In other words, you have to be earning MORE than what the traffic COSTS. (this
is what’s known as a “funded proposal,” but more about that in a moment)

Another Way To Look At It Is Imagine Your Website Is Like A Vending Machine…

Just to prove my point:
Imagine you find a vending machine.  You put in $2… but instead of getting a Coke, you get change.
But only $1.80, so you repeat: and get $1.60
And then $1.55, and basically, each time you put money in, you’re losing 10% every time…Would
you honestly keep putting money in all day? Of course not!
Now let's pretend you went to another vending machine‐ and this time when you put in $2, it gives
you $2.20 back.  Feeling happy about your good fortune‐ you might put your $2.20 back in …and
this time, it gives you $2.40.  You do it again and this time, it's $2.65. So in essence, you’re getting
10% more than you put in each and every time. For every $1 you feed it, it gives you back $1.10.
Trust me when I say you’d probably stand there all day putting money in!

Now Let’s Go Back To Your Website:
The money you spend on getting traffic to your website is like putting change into a vending
machine.
Eg. you put in $2, which buys 4 clicks.  The sales you make from that traffic (your average visitor
value) is like the change the vending machine gives you back.
Your role is to turn your business into a vending machine that gives you back more change than
you put in. In other words, Maximise Average Visitor Value‐ And Never Stop Improving It.
The Holy Grail of Internet Marketing is when the average visitor value is MORE than the average
cost per click. Basically Average Visitor Value > Average Cost Per Click.
Once you reach this point, you can scale your business as fast as you can spend money on buying
traffic.
I hope everything I’ve shared with you so far is making perfect sense to you now!

The 4 Leverage Points That Moved My Business
Up To The Multiple 6 Figures
Now, as I promised earlier, I told you that I’d give you the 4 leverage points that shifted my
business into 6 figures. Let me tell you one thing for now, I wish I’d known about these when I first
started out online, as it would have saved me years of heartache and stress as you’ll later find out.
Here’s the thing, I tried affiliate marketing and I also tried creating my own products. Both took me
a VERY long time to work out how to do profitably. In fact, I ended up $40,000 in debt after my
first year, after having quit college AND quitting my job mowing lawns. I learnt the hard way, but
you don’t have to.
The point is that when you’re starting out, you need to spend as little as possible and earn as much
as you can to make your venture worthwhile. And you can only do this when you know EXACTLY
what you’re doing and which costly mistakes you need to avoid. That’s how you make real money
online and in the next few pages, I’ll show you exactly how you can do that too.

The 4 Leverage Points That Moved My Business Up To The Multiple 6 Figures…
So I want to tell you what happened in the 4 months between September 2011, and January 2012,
when this happened:

As you can see, I literally jumped from $15K up to $81K in 4 months – that’s pretty big jump!


Here are the 4 things I did differently to most people online:
1.)  Phone Follow Up
I have a confession: I hate selling.  I never liked the idea of picking up the phone, calling people
back, and asking them for money… but, I also knew that there were some people on my list, who
just would not buy unless they actually spoke to someone. So, I forced myself to do it.  I started
calling back my leads‐ I’d ask them a number of questions, and find out where they were at.  If I
had a program that would help them get to the next level, I’d ask if they’d be open to hearing
about it.  If so, I’d explain it some – and then (and this is key) I’d ASK for the order.
Now working 14 hour days because of all these calls isn’t my idea of a ‘lifestyle’ business.  So, with
the permission of the person I was speaking to, I started recording my phone calls. After a while,
I’d built up a library of recordings, of me making sales on the phone so I could bring other people
onto my team, and share those recordings with them.
Despite my hatred of cold calling, I was pretty good at closing people over the phone, so when I
hired out a team to call on my behalf, they simply listened to the recordings and modelled my
script – that’s it! This meant we made 3 times as many calls, and I was working a lot less.  If you
want to achieve wealth, you have to figure out how you can leverage the efforts of others – no one
ever gets rich based on their own efforts.

2.)  Multiple Products
After I did my first product, I thought I had it made.  I soon realised though, it wasn’t enough.  The
market was insatiable –they wanted to keep on buying and buying.  I have people on my list today,
who’ve spent well over $20,000 with me.  And of those people, I know for a fact many have spent
a LOT more than that on other people’s products too. One of your jobs as a marketer is to capture
as much as their spending as you can.  Whether you get that money, or your competitor gets the
money, we know for a fact that someone’s getting it, so it may as well be you.
This is why you need more than one product, but creating more products just means more work.
In fact, I recommend you get someone else to do all the hard work for you, so you can ‘license’
their product (which I’ll explain in more detail towards the end of this report).


3.)  High Ticket Programs
Maybe you’re thinking who on earth would pay a LOT of money for a product or program right?
Well, in January 2012, I sold my first $10,000 program.  That was a big deal for me as it opened my
eyes to what was really possible.  So what did I sell for $10,000? It basically set someone up in
business‐ I’d create their product for them, and automated selling webinar to continuously make
them sales, etc.  In the end, it was way too under‐priced for all the work I had to put in…
Later in this report, I’ll introduce you to the concept of ‘extracting juice out of lemons’ – one of the
best ways to really squeeze the juice out of your traffic, is with selling a high ticket program on the
backend. So let me ask you something ‐ What do you think is easier?  Making $100,000 a month by
selling 1,000 products at $100 each, OR, selling 50 products at $2,000 each?  Believe me, it’s much
easier to find 50 customers than it is to find 1,000 of them – even if you are charging 20 times
more money.
And don’t worry over people spending $10,000 PLUS for programs, they can and they DO, and
that’s because if they see the value in what you’re offering and it saves them time, money or
stress, they’re happy to pay for it.

4.)  Partner Program
Late 2011, I decided to create my own affiliate program‐ where others could promote some of my
products, and earn a 50% commission.  It was one of the smartest things I ever did. As I said
before, if you want to get wealthy, you’ve got to figure out how to leverage the efforts of other
people, and also how to leverage money. With an affiliate program, others were now sending me
their traffic – and their leads.  I paid them on commission.  If one of their leads bought a product of
mine, the affiliate would get their 50%.  The key thing was that I ONLY paid when they got sales.  If
they didn’t get results, there was no cost to the business.
Later on, a ton of people started asking me about licensing my products‐ so they could keep a
bigger % of the profits.  At first, I was very reluctant – and would only do it if they paid me a big
fee.  But, over time, I got more comfortable with it, and started taking on a select number of what I
call ‘M.O.B.E. Licensees’ – you’ll learn more about this ultra‐lucrative business model a little later.

THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT
INTERNET MARKETING
What The Gurus Won’t Tell You
 You need several products to pay for your lead generation costs.  And YES… you do need
your own products.  The chances of YOU making millions through affiliate marketing is
virtually zero
 It's highly unlikely your first product will be a winner and that’s because you’re still learning
what the market truly wants.
 As I’ve already explained, affiliate marketing is hard to make work because of the very small
profit margins involved and the rising cost of traffic.
 Launches are NOT a sustainable business model.  Sure, you can make a ton of money in the
short term, IF you have the right launch partners… but, you’ll burn out quickly.  I’ve done
over $100,000 in sales in under a week with launches‐ but for some of those weeks, I was
lucky to get 3 hours of sleep a night.  They are intense, and cause a great deal of stress on
your body.
 It’s hard to break into Internet Marketing if you’re new, with no results (and therefore no
credibility).  The gurus won’t tell you this, because they want you to think it’s easy but it’s
not and not everyone can do it ‐ Most don’t have the patience, determination, and budget
to go down the traditional path like I did (and you probably wouldn’t want to either. I was
lucky in a way to be young with no major commitments… if you have kids, a mortgage, a day
job, you’re in a tougher situation than I was.  But, as you’ll see later on, there’s a better way
to do it.
 Beware of buying leads! Back in 2009, I get a call out of the blue from some guy who says he
has 76,000 leads of former network of marketers.  Immediately, my ears prick up.  I'm
paying at least $8 per phone lead on Google Adwords ‐ I'm desperate for leads, and can't
keep paying what I am. He wants about $4,000 for the list.  I know that if I get one sale, I'll
make $1000, plus I can always upsell at the back end...So I bit the bullet and I buy.  It was
the stupidest thing I ever did as 99% of the leads were fake!

 Leads are a bit like gold ‐ the best ones (also the rarest, which few people know how to
generate) will be right on the fence, and just need a gentle push before they buy.  Little
convincing or persuading is needed with these people. The worst ones (that most people
get), if you call them, will soon tell you where to shove that phone. The only leads you
should have are ones you’ve nurtured yourself – don’t buy them from others!
 Running a business requires a whole new set of skills to working in a job... "the good news
is, you're the boss, the bad news is, you're the boss"
 You can’t do this alone… you'll need staff.  You'll need a team.  You need a customer
support desk, assistants, etc

This is probably what you don’t want to hear and is a far cry from the usual “get rich while you're
sitting on the beach, cocktail in one hand, laptop on the side checking commissions.” The truth is
if you go down the traditional route of starting an Internet marketing business, you’ll most likely
end up like the 97% who FAIL each day.
But… there is an easier way, one which doesn’t involve all the hard work, a way in which all the
heavy lifting and learning curve is removed for you – and I’ll tell you about that later. In fact, I’m
going to show you all the different ways you can make money online, so you can decide for
yourself which path is right for you.
The trick is to remember that not all clicks are equal.  Behind every click is a real person‐ with real
emotions.  You never know who's clicking on your ads‐ that person could have recently spent
$10,000 in your niche, and is perfectly happy to spend more if presented with the right offer. On
the other hand, some clicks might be coming from traffic exchanges where people only click to get
more exposure for their OWN site, and aren’t interested in the slightest in your product.
The bottom line is that price tells us little about the quality of the clicks. What matters is whether
those clicks convert into sales – that’s it.

Creating Your Own Products
I’m something of a master at product creation, and if you go to MOBEOffice.com (which is where I
have all my products) you'll see something like 20 products I created. Here’s a screenshot of some
of them:

Now I find it easy, but, it wasn't always like that. When I first started out, I decided to create my
first ebook around mid 2009. However, one year on, I still hadn’t done more than 5 pages... that's
what you call procrastination. I wanted to have my own product so I could keep all the money. But,
as I’ve already explained, it was tough going!
I knew to make real money, I was going to have to really challenge myself and not procrastinate.
When I eventually did create my first product, I put myself into a situation where I had to deliver 7
webinars, over the course of 9 days. I thrive under pressure and I knew if I put this pressure on
myself, I’d be able to deliver... but being me, I left it till the last moment each time.

I did months of planning, but unfortunately I didn’t solidify my research or put my thoughts down
on paper. With less than 36 hours to go before the first webinar, panic set in because I wasn’t
ready. I had done very little! People would show up and I’d done very little! Put it this way, 10
minutes before the webinar was due to start, I was still finishing off my PowerPoint slides!
I delivered the webinar, then the second and third etc...and felt proud of the fact that I’d created
my first product. However, when I launched it, no one bought and it was totally depressing. This is
when I realised that product creation is only the start of it.  The marketing is where the real work
begins.
The truth is, to get sales, you need to create a sales process which butters up your leads and plants
hunger and desire in them to WANT your product so badly that they’re willing to buy your stuff.

As you can see, there’s a ton of work that goes into creating a sales funnel like this, not to mention
a LOT of costs ‐ Here they are:

 Using an email auto‐responder and shopping cart like infusionsoft ($2,000)
And that’s just the beginning.
If you’ve never created a million dollar sales funnel, you’re probably not going to know where to
begin… so, let me show you EXACTLY what one looks like:

How Does A Million Dollar Sales Funnel Work?
So let me walk you through the sales funnel that has done over a million dollars in revenue for me,
these past 12 months…
Step 1:
We start off collecting a lead ‐ a simple email address.  You want to start off asking for a very small
commitment… at this point, the prospect (soon to become a lead) doesn’t know who we are.  So
we want to offer them the very best benefit of joining our email subscriber list. In this case, I’m
going to teach them marketing.  I’m going to share with them how I’ve been able to make up to
$4,000 a day, get a ton of leads, etc.  I won’t share that all in one go, but, as they stay subscribed
to my newsletter, I will reveal everything over time.
They opt in, and start receiving a 45 day automated email follow up sequence.

Week 1: The ‘inner circle’

Around week 1, we invite them to attend a live webinar.  It’s actually an automated webinar,
designed to simulate a live one.  But it’s live in the sense it plays only once per day…
Prospect hits “webinar registration” capture page.

They register for the best time that works for them…
They get an automated follow up sequence that’s been tested for maximum effectiveness, driving
them to webinar.
Prospect attends simulated webinar experience & presentation as IF it’s occurring live.

Sales come in on autopilot, around the same time each day (ALL AUTOMATED)
Additional automated follow up sequences are triggered, depending on what links the lead clicks
on in the main follow up sequence.

What Does a Sales Funnel Like This Allow Me to
Do?
1.)  I can afford to pay more than what 99.9% of my competitors can for the same traffic – and
easily make profits (that I reinvest into buying even more traffic… and so on which is why my
business is growing so fast)
2.)  My average customer value is about 20 times higher than most people in our niche.  Why?
Because apart from having many products on offer, I also have an upsell process in place with
phone follow ups. With this process, customers are also offered coaching programs and because
they love our products, they are much more likely to invest in other programs.

Do you understand the power of a high‐converting funnel now? I’ve tested and tweaked this
funnel repeatedly over the last few years and it’s highly optimized meaning that you get so much

more from your leads than you otherwise would. Think of it like this – instead of squeezing a
lemon, you stick it in a juice extractor instead!
Anyway, so what DOES a 6‐figure business REALLY look like? Let me show you!

What a 150K / Month Business Really Looks Like
for the Person Making the Sales…
Despite being successful now, it wasn’t always like that...
Back in 2010.  I took a bus to visit my parents Farm, which was about 5 hours out of the city.  My
car had broken down once again, so I had to take the bus.
After my visit, my mother gave me a ride back to the bus stop so I could get back to the city a few
days later.  Anyway, while waiting for the bus, my mum said:
“Are you sure you’re doing the right thing here?  I just don’t want you to end up having nothing in 5
years time, and regretting not finishing your university”
I smiled, having heard this at least 1000 times before… and I’d been hearing it for years.  And even
though I was still making little money at the time, I just knew that I was going to make this work.
“Yes mum, you’ll see.  Soon I’ll be doing $50,000 a month…” Of course, I was being deadly serious,
but she thought it was silly and unrealistic.  “No one makes $50,000 a month! Get real…” and even
though she found it amusing, I could detect the worry in her tone of voice.
Around this time I’d just made my first product, which I was selling for $200.  In my mind, I saw
myself getting to $50,000 by selling 250 of those things every month, or close to 10 a day. If I could
get 10 a day, that would be $2000 a day in sales, and allowing for a few refunds each month, I’d be
there. Writing these words now, several years later, and having made more than 3 times that
figure in a month, I now see how wrong I was.
And I wish someone had explained to me, what I’m about to explain to you right now. In order to
get to 50K a month (or numbers at that level), you will have to sell a LOT of front‐end products,
and quite a few upsells.  These are what get you your new customers.  So whether it’s a $10
ebook, or a $100 video course, you need a front end. However, where you make the REAL money
and big profits, is on the back end.


For example, let’s say you have a $2,000 coaching program.  You sell one of your $100 products
each day of the month… so 30 in total. This means you have $3,000 in revenue, right there. Then,
you approach those 30 new customers, and you offer them your $2,000 program.  If you’ve done a
good job of delivering value on the front end product, you can offer them your $2,000 program –
and trust me some will buy.
Even if only a third or 10 of your customers buy, that’s another $20,000 in revenue for that month.
So now we’re up to $23,000.  Not bad, but still a long way off from our $50,000 target. And that’s
where we bring in our super back end program… priced somewhere around $9,000. Now, I know
what you’re thinking… “who the hell would pay me $9,000 for a product?? And what product
could I even offer for that?”
Well, I can tell you from experience, people WILL pay that kind of money.  My highest end program
right now (my Platinum Mastermind) is more than double that price, and we have 18 people
currently in that (and a whole bunch of people on the waiting list, hoping to get in). Now, to sell
that $9,000 program, you’re going to need some really good marketing.  That’s a big decision for
most people, and they’re not going to fork over that kind of money because you told them to in an
email.  Usually, it’s going to be a much more intense marketing process.
But, if you can set it up (which I do cover in my ‘How To Build A Funded Proposal’ course), and
then market it to those 10 customers who each bought into your $2,000 program, then there’s a
good chance you can convert at least 3 of them into higher buyers. So if you get 3, @ $9000 each,
that’s another $27,000 for that month. That brings our total to $50,000 for the month.
That’s how you get to those kind of numbers… NOT by selling 250 copies of a front end product!
And by the way, if you currently do have a front end product which is selling really well, with no
back end products in the price range I just described, then the easiest way to add another 1 or 2
zeroes to your income is to do just that.

But Matt, What If I DON’T Have My Own Sales Funnel?
If you haven’t got your own sales funnel, all is not lost. As I’ve already mentioned, you really have
only two options:
 Affiliate marketing
 License and sell existing products (I’ll tell you more about this later)


As I’ve already explained to you, there are many cons about affiliate marketing. Obviously product
creation is out of the question if you don’t have a solid, high‐converting sales funnel to support
your product. But, as far as I was concerned, there had to be a better way. Perhaps another
solution, which didn’t rely on me having to go out and create a sales funnel or have to go through
the hassle of creating products...
And This Is What Motivated Me To Begin Searching For A Solution…

Burning the Ships Behind You…

One of my favourite stories, is that of the Spanish army, when explorer Hernan Cortez conquered
Mexico. When Cortez landed in Mexico, he was faced by a superior Aztec force. To make sure
there was no chance his soldiers would change their minds and retreat back to the ships, he went
down to the ships one night and burned them. Now retreat was impossible! His soldiers HAD to
stand and fight. Cortez had taken away any excuse for retreat!
The point of the story is that I’ve done this several times in my own business when I’ve had to
make major decisions. I’ve literally cut off all escape routes and contingency plans so I’m FORCED

to go through with my decision. For example, the first online business I bought into in 2009, cost
me just under $40,000!
Actually, it was USD $25,000, but with the exchange rates the way they were, I ended up paying
pretty much my entire life savings… for about a week after, all I could think was “what have I
done??”
But, I knew it was the right decision.  See, when you don’t have anything at stake in your business,
you’re probably not going to treat it like a real business.  You’ll treat it like a hobby. But with $40K
at stake, I decided I needed to focus on my business 100%.  I quit college shortly after (with just 1
year left to graduate) and I also quit my lawn mowing job.
Shortly after, I walked into the welfare office which was paying me about $435 every two weeks as
part of what we call ‘student allowance’ here in Australia (for poor students) and I told them to
stop my payments.  They asked me if I’d found a job to which I replied: “No, I just don’t them
anymore.” I faced no choice other than to make it work – through hell or high water I HAD to make
it work and left myself no other option.
Now, I’m not saying you have to do anything as drastic as that.  But, let me ask you something:
How serious are you at making this work? How serious and committed are YOU to making your
online business a success? Did you know that most people who invested in this report won’t ever
read it all the way through?  Did you know most won’t even read this far? (and if you have made it
this far, then you’re at least on the right track).
Towards the end of this report, I’ll tell you about a program I’m launching, where I’m looking for
some serious partners.  If you’re 100% committed, you might think about applying…

Here Is What This Entire Business Boils Down To:
How Much Money Can You Extract Out Of Your
Leads.
That’s a little blunt, but that’s the truth.  As I said, you’re going to be paying money to generate
these leads, which means a real cost on your hands. Let’s say you’re putting in $100 a week to
generate leads online… and, only getting $70 back a week in revenue from those leads. Common
sense tells you that you won’t have a business for long.

So, for arguments sake, I’m going to use an analogy about squeezing lemons. Let’s pretend you
owned a lemonade stand, and, you were on the busiest street of New York.  There was a ton of
foot traffic going by… thousands of people. It’s a very hot day, and I’m the guy who sells lemons. I
give you 3 lemons for free, to start your business, because I’m feeling generous.
So, you squeeze out a glass of lemon juice, from each lemon, if you squeeze hard. If you give those
lemons a gentle squeeze, you’ll only get half a glass. You can sell a glass of lemon juice for $2. You
can buy lemons from me, for $1.50 per lemon. My question to you is this: With those 3 lemons,
how much money can you make? Answer: if you squeeze hard, that’s 3 glasses of lemon juice… $6
in revenue. If you don’t squeeze hard, you get back 1.5 glasses of lemon juice… so it’s more like $3
in revenue.
Once those lemons are gone, you have to come to me to buy some more. How many lemons can
you keep buying from me, when they cost $1.50 each, but you only make $1 in revenue from
each? If you squeeze hard, how many lemons can you buy from me at $1.50 each, when you make
$2 in revenue from each one?
Do you see what I’m getting at here? How well you can extract/squeeze the juice out of those
lemons, will determine whether you struggle to get by… or whether you scale up and build the
biggest lemonade empire in New York. And selling online is absolutely NO different.
The difference between someone like me, who’s able to bring in up to $150,000 a month in
revenue from the leads I get, and someone who can’t make $500 a month, is simply the fact that I
extract more money out of my leads. That’s it. I then have money to go and spend on getting more
leads… like the lemonade guy who’s good at squeezing juice has more money to go and spend
buying more lemons.
What will determine your success online, is how well you answer this question:
"How Much Revenue Do You Currently Squeeze Out Of The Traffic?"
If you have no products, no sales funnels, nothing… then, you can’t really get any revenue from
your traffic and leads.

The Ultimate Leverage: Having Your Own
Affiliate Program...
Once you get really good at extracting the juice out of those lemons, now, others will pay you for
it.  They'll send you their traffic.  It's now time to put in your own partner program. At the present
time, I have over 1,800 partners‐ each of them have joined my affiliate program, to send traffic to
my sales funnel...Now, not every one of them is going to send traffic.  In fact, to be honest with
you, most do absolutely nothing (which is like anything in life really).
But, there’s a few, who do a LOT – they send a lot of traffic to my sales funnels.  I convert it.  Most
of them figure out pretty quickly, they are better off joining my License Program, since standard
affiliates only make 50% commissions on the front end‐  and, they don’t make any money on the
back end (which accounts for 70% of my total revenue – huge).
My advice to you, is that if you want to go down the hard path of creating your own products and
sales funnels ‐ then, as soon as you have half decent conversions, you want to create your own
affiliate program. Don’t let the technical side of setting it up scare you either (it did for me, which
is why my first affiliate program was about 6 months overdue).
All you need is a shopping cart service like 1shoppingcart.com or Infusionsoft.com.  These come
with their own affiliate programs‐ so, you’ll simply decide what level of commissions you want to
pay your affiliates, and your shopping cart does the rest. All things being equal, the better you pay
your affiliates, the more they will want to promote for you.
That’s one of the reasons so many people are eager to license my products‐ because I pay 90%
commissions on the front end, which is pretty much unheard of (although the License Program is
MUCH more than just a simple affiliate program).
So now you know why 97% of people don’t make it online… it’s tough.  The odds are stacked
against you. But, take heart because you’re not entirely screwed YET. I know I’ve been pretty harsh
so far, but it was for your own good! I had to do it so you fully appreciated the value of what I’m
going to tell you next...

Where Should Your Focus Be? What Actually
Pays You The Money In This Business?
Once you have a high converting sales funnel that can consistently convert leads into paying
customers, there’s only one thing left for you to do:
Get leads.
Think about it.  If you have a sales funnel that can convert 1 out of 50 leads into a paying
customer… and make you $200 each time… and it costs you $150 to generate those leads, are you
going to keep spending money on leads? In other words I’m asking you, are you going to put $150
on the table to get back $200?
I know I sure would.  I’d keep on doing that all day long. That’s why more than 90% of your success
in this business will come down to how well your sales funnel converts. Get that part out of the
way, and the rest is easy. Now, you’re probably wondering where and how do you get all these
leads?
I couldn’t possibly cover every lead generating strategy in this report…but here’s what I will say on
the matter. Back in late 2011, I set myself the goal of generating 10,000 leads, in 100 days.  At that
point, I already had my first 10,000 leads, but it had taken me 3 years!  And now I was going to
attempt to do it all over again in record time.
So, I created some serious accountability… I told my list that was my goal, and for $2,000 (which 70
people gladly paid) they could watch a video each day, where I revealed exactly what I did that
day, to get my leads.  I would also show what I paid, my exact stats, my exact ads, everything. It
was a complete ‘watch over my shoulder’ look at how I did EVERYTHING...and amazingly, I
generated those 10,000 leads in just 42 days.  42 days!  I never forgot the lesson, and now I do
everything I can to create accountability for myself in my business.
So let me share with you a few of my favorite lead generation strategies….

Solo Ads
In case you don’t know, let me explain how a solo ad works.  If you’re reading this, you’re probably
on my list (if you’re not on my list‐ and you’re reading this‐ then it’s most likely a pirated copy‐ let
me know who sent it to you for a cash reward!)

Anyway‐ like I was saying, you’re on my list.  I have your email address.  And as of today, I have
about 70,000 email addresses that I’ve built up – that’s my list. My list is definitely an internet
marketing kind of list.  I’m not going to promote ‘how to lose weight’ offers to my list, since it’s not
really what they’re looking for.
Let me be clear about one thing – the size of your list does NOT matter! What matters, is how
responsive it is. There’s little point in having 100,000 members on your list if less than 1000 will
open it. Now what you can do is approach list owners and pay them to send out an email to their
list. How much you pay will depend on the responsiveness of THEIR list!

Banner Ads
Banner ads are a great way to draw attention to your product if placed on the right sites and
forums. You can use something like http://www.adbrite.com/ which will place banners on public
forums for you. You simply upload your banner and set your budget and keywords. They take care
of the rest. You can also place ads on high traffic sites like the Warrior Forum.

Pay‐Per‐Click
Pay per click has several platforms out there, but Google Adwords is by far the main and best one.
The problem is, Google isn’t too keen on the ‘internet marketing’ industry‐ a few bad apples doing
the wrong thing tainted our entire industry, so they pretty much kicked us off.  The last time I got
leads from Adwords was 2009.
You also have Facebook PPC.  Facebook traffic is a different beast‐ it’s harder to convert, and the
reason is, the traffic lacks ‘intent.’  Think about it‐ you usually don’t go to Facebook because you’re
searching for something.  You go there because you want to see what your friends are doing… look
at their photos… share what you’re doing.
So, when you see an ad on the side, it’s interrupting you.  This is very different to if you go to a
search engine, and type in a keyword.  Now, you’re searching for something… so the ads (as long
as they’re relevant) aren’t really interrupting you at all.

Direct Mail
This is definitely only for you if you have a good sales process‐ a high converting sales funnel.  If
you’re going to do direct mail, be ready to put some real money on the table.
In any given month, I’ll send out 50,000 pieces in the mail – to get new clients.  In fact, if you are
reading this now, there’s a very good chance you first heard about me from a post card or some
package I sent you in the post.
You can get details of all the lists from a site called SRDS.com – it’s about $700 a year.  If you’re
looking to save a few bucks, just go to your local library, and they’ll have a copy for you there you
can read for free. With direct mail, you will need to pay postage, list rental, and printing of the
pieces.  When all is said and done, you could be paying $0.80 for every single piece mailed.
The key to doing well, is to match your offer to the right audience.  The audience is everything.  I’d
rather have a mediocre offer in front of a great audience, than a great offer in front of the wrong
audience.

Example: when I was a rookie just starting out, and had no clue what I was doing (I
actually laugh remembering this now), I decided to make my own little postcards. So,
I printed off about 200 sheets of A4 paper, which had two post cards printed on each
half and I split them down the middle.  Now I had 400 postcards‐ yay!

Next, I simply went outside, and started leaving one in every post box I could around the
neighbourhood.  I tried to be a bit sneaky about it so no one saw me‐ since people can get
annoyed when you give them junk mail.  After 3 hours, I went and collapsed in a chair, proud of my
efforts.  Soon, I’d be getting a ton of leads… now, I just need to play the waiting game.
But nothing happened! Several days later and not one single lousy lead.  I didn’t realise it at the
time, but the problem had to do with my audience selection.  I had no criteria for my audience
selection‐ except that they had to be within walking distance of my house. These days, my direct
mail efforts are on a much bigger scale… and, I’m a lot more careful about who I send mail to.  The
main thing you’re looking for are buyers of similar products to what you’re offering – and if they’re
recent buyers, then even better!!

As Dan Kennedy says, ‘a buyer is a buyer is buyer… and a non‐buyer is a non‐buyer is a non‐buyer.’
Which means that those who buy, usually continue to buy.  Those who don’t probably aren’t going
to change their non‐buying habits because of your offer.
Marketing Co‐Ops
I only manage co‐ops for those in my MOBE License Rights Program right now.  But, in any given
month, I manage around $50,000 of funds, and spend it on traffic.  So why do people pay me to
send them leads?
Well for starters, I’m good at it.  I’ve spent a lot of money on all kinds of different media, and know
where the gold is‐ I know the best traffic sources that convert. Secondly, there are many traffic
vendors who just won’t want to deal with you if your budget is only a few hundred bucks.  Some of
these sites will have a minimum buy of $10,000 or more.
So, as part of the co‐op, you get access to these traffic sources that you normally never would if it
were just you.  You now have a much wider universe of prospects to go after. Lastly, a lot of
people who start with me, are newbies.  They’ve never had leads or traffic before‐ so, they prefer
to pay me to do it all for them – and just sit back so they can get the leads.
(A word of warning:  if you ever start managing your own co‐ops, just make sure you know what
you’re doing.  You don’t want your traffic education to be paid with other people’s money‐ that’s a
fast way to lose all credibility with your customers).

A KEY UNDERSTANDING FOR
BUYING TRAFFIC
Fixed Cost Vs. Performance Based Media…
Before you even think about spending a cent on traffic, you need to know the differences between
these two types of media.  If you don't‐ you're doomed to spend more than you bring in, like 97%
of people in this industry do.
Here's how it works:
Fixed cost: you'll take any leads you can get.  Does not matter what leads you get: you've already
put your money in.  Regardless of whether you get 50 leads, or 500 leads, that $200 investment
you made in those banner ads is staying fixed.  It's not going to change regardless of your
response.
Performance based:  now, you care about the leads.  Because you're paying for every action‐ so,
you want the most qualified you can get.
Eg. Paying $5000 for leads: When you’re paying a LOT for leads, you want to make sure they’re
qualified and that you’re not encouraging freebie seekers and tire kickers to come on board.
Asking for phone numbers during opt‐in is one way of doing this.

The Alternative (And Virtually FOOL PROOF) Way
Of Making REAL Money Online...
So I’ve now shared with you all the different ways you can make money online...and fail! Seriously
though, if you’re still reading this, you’re probably wondering how the guru’s REALLY make their
money...
One word ‐ licensing.
Maybe you’ve heard of it, maybe not, so let me explain how it works...

Licensing in its simplest form is just like franchising, except you’re not franchising a bricks and
mortar business, you’re franchising a proven business model and get to use all the scripts,
templates, sales funnels and products as part of the license agreement.
The best example is McDonald’s – they have a proven business model which works and which they
give franchisees a license to profit from their brand. It doesn’t matter how much money the
franchisees pay for the licensing fee, the beauty of the franchise is that everything stays the same
for the customers – the taste and quality of the burgers will stay the same as will the speed and
efficiency of service.
...and licensees get to keep a very healthy percentage of the profits, while the rest goes to the
owners of McDonald’s.
In short, it’s a win‐win scenario. Licensees leverage an existing brand which is proven to make
money and profit wildly while simply delivering the business. It’s a smart way to profit because you
don’t have to waste months or even years trying to figure it out on your own. It’s not just the fact
that you’re avoiding a HUGE time‐suck, but as I mentioned earlier in this report, it’s also because
you don’t have to worry about:
 Creating a winning product
 Creating websites
 Learning how to write sales copy
 Creating a sales funnel
 Testing the funnel
 Setting up a merchant account
 Integrating your autoresponders with a payment gateway and shopping cart
 Handling refunds and customer services
 Doing expensive product launches
 Recruiting a bunch of affiliates
 Creating webinars which convert
 Etc etc!

Can you imagine how long it would take for you to master all this?
Are you starting to understand how much time, money, energy and stress you’d be saving by

With the best will in the world, even experienced marketers get it wrong, but at least they have
the money to absorb the cost of their ‘mistakes’...
You might not have that luxury.
As a newbie or someone looking to make a REAL living from Internet Marketing, costly mistakes
can be the kiss of death for your dream of running an online empire. What licensing an existing
business does is remove the risk of the unknown.
In fact, it’s RISK REVERSAL at its finest because you never have to worry if the business is going to
work or not – it’s already proven to work!
So, in a stroke of genius, I started toying with the idea of licensing in mid 2011.
I was talking to one of my clients Troy, who had just started out, and had yet to make any money
online. He didn’t have a product of course.  But being the smart guy he was, he asked me if he
could possibly license one of mine. I was fairly new to licensing back then, and didn’t really know
how it would work.
So I said “no” pretty quickly, because at that point my business had just begun to take off.  I didn’t
need to create unnecessary competition for myself.
But, Troy was pretty persistent.
So it got me thinking about how much I should charge. Remember‐ these are the same sales
funnels that have collectively made me hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last year and
which took me almost three years and $150,000 of my life savings to work out how to create.

The conversion rates had been optimised through extensive testing‐ which was only possible after
spending thousands and thousands of dollars on traffic.
For someone starting out, finding a high converting offer is not easy ‐ one of the greatest
information marketers of all time‐ a guy named Ted Nicholas, who has sold over 200 million dollars
of his own info products – had this to say about crafting new offers:
“Only 5% of what I do works”
If one of the greatest marketers alive, who has been doing this for decades, can only be right 5% of
the time… what chance does the person just getting started have???
I can tell you now that having been in the IM niche for a few years, it’s MUCH harder than you
think, and your chances of success are almost zero. This is something you won’t hear the gurus
telling you‐ because they like to make everything much more simpler than it actually is, so they can
sell you more of their ‘push button’ secret BS software...
Which by the way, if you haven’t figured out already, doesn’t actually exist!
When Troy offered me $4,000 to license my system, I decided to test out the idea.
I ended up giving him the license rights to 4 of my products:

Now here’s where it gets interesting, so pay attention to how this worked...
Troy didn’t have his own autoresponder, merchant account, customer service centre or any of the
other systems in place to make the business work… and to be frank, he told me he didn’t want to
deal with any of that stuff anyway. So what we did was deal with all the technical stuff, customer
service and merchant accounts so that Troy wouldn’t have to, and agreed to pay him 90%
commissions on sales, with the other 10% going towards my overheads.
For Troy, this was a no‐brainer. We dealt with EVERYTHING while Troy just concentrated on getting
leads and being paid his 90%.

Put it this way, even though I really wanted Troy to do well and make his initial $4,000 investment
back, I wasn’t entirely convinced he’d be able to make it work. So imagine my shock then, when I
started seeing leads coming in… followed by sales.  Now at an average sale of $200, Troy was
keeping 90% of the money...
And just 10% of it ($20) would go towards my overheads.
When Troy got 10 sales, I hit on an idea which would literally change EVERYTHING for me and
which would be the start of my climb up the success ladder and into the Internet Marketing hall of
fame very quickly.
See, at that point, I’d added in a phone follow up into my business to generate even more revenue
from my customers – remember the lemon juice example I previously mentioned? Well for my
business, giving my customers even more value and charging them for delivering this value to
them is like squeezing as much juice as you can from a lemon, and I have to say that this venture
turned out to be insanely profitable…
Because for every 3 leads we followed up with on the phone, we effortlessly got one lead to invest
in one of our higher end programs. And we did this WITHOUT any kind of sneaky sales tactics or
high‐pressure selling. The bottom line was that customers found our products to be so valuable
that they were more than willing to invest further. And the fact that we were a tangible company
where customers could get on the phone and talk to us made the whole process easy and
seamless.
And if customers in my sales funnel were responding so well to our higher‐priced offerings, then so
would the customers who bought from Troy. Troy was certainly interested in the idea, but hated
the idea of getting on the phone with customers. We came to a 50/50 split in commissions
provided one of MY phone guys followed up with his leads.
This made the whole process even easier and even more hands off, and STILL meant that Troy
would profit handsomely from it. All Troy had to do was remain focused on getting the leads while
we did the rest of the heavy lifting. I had some of the best closers in the industry manning the
phone lines, so what started as a test bed actually turned into a highly profitable venture which
has continued with ALL my licensees.

Here’s what happened when we followed with Troy’s 10 customers:
We made 6 sales in just 4 days at an investment of $2,000 each, coming to a total of
$12,000 in additional revenue.

This was brilliant! Troy got $6,000 of that (putting his investment in the License Rights entirely in
profit) and my side got $6,000. Most of that covered my costs (including commissions for the
phone sales guy) but I was still happy… it was a few thousand dollars in my pocket, for very little
work.
It was such a great idea that when I promoted it on Facebook, several people jumped on board
immediately!
They recognized the value in licensing proven products and systems and being able to profit from
the get‐go. This was really exciting for me and even better, for my licensees who I didn’t see as
affiliates, but as partners with me!
And the rest as you’d say is history!
Here’s the thing, when you license a proven business model, you’re taking ALL the guesswork out
of creating a successful business. That’s because it’s all done for you. The system works so well
because it hinges on the one thing that’s missing in all other Internet money making schemes – a
solid, high‐converting and proven sales funnel. Without this well‐oiled baby, my business model
would have fallen flat a LONG time ago!
I say well‐oiled because once a prospect enters the funnel, they very quickly make a slippery
decent down the greased funnel and land straight into an offer they just can’t refuse. That’s the
power of a well‐crafted sales funnel, and the secret behind the success of EVERY single guru out
there.
A proven sales funnel is your very own funded proposal and literally pays for the
leads you generate, meaning you profit very quickly as traffic quickly turn into
sales.

Gurus use sales funnels to convert traffic into insane amounts of money, and if it works for them, it
will work for you too. The only caveat is that creating a proven, high‐converting funnel can take
months to master because not only do you have to write the copy, but you ALSO have to test,
track, tweak and continually test your funnel in order to extract the maximum number of sales you
can from it.
You could hire a copywriter to write the entire funnel for you, but this means investing around
$5000 PLUS for the copy. In fact, top copywriters routinely charge $10,000 plus to create a high‐
converting funnel – and that’s JUST the copy.
And I’m not even talking about integrating the copy with autoresponders and CRM systems, which
is another beast entirely. Can you see why so many people fail to make any money online? Just
starting out costs thousands of dollars and also means that you spend a large amount of your time
testing and tracking – it really is a LOT of hard work.

immediately and don’t have to worry about the expense of hiring copywriters or putting
everything together when you’re done. You simply drive traffic to your license links (which can be

So let me ask you, how would YOU feel about starting up online? Which path would YOU rather
take?

The truth is, as someone who spent the first year of my internet marketing life making a TON of
extremely expensive mistakes, I can tell you now that your options to make money online are

I got to the point where for months at a time I was eating tinned food because I couldn’t afford
anything else. It was one of the lowest points of my life. It was my persistence and my gruelling 10‐

In reality, I don’t know many people who can put that kind of time, money and effort into

Your second option is affiliate marketing, where you promote an existing product as an affiliate for
less than 50% of the commission generated from sales. Now while being an affiliate solves the
problem of not having a product or customers services to deal with, it has its own set of problems.
With only half the money (sometimes less) being paid into your account it probably won’t even
cover the expense of buying traffic and promoting the offers. Traffic is getting more and more
expensive by the day, meaning you have little profit margins (if any). And worse, you STILL have to
create your own sales funnels and have systems in place to help your sales. So while affiliate
marketing may seem more attractive to you than creating your own stuff, there’s still an awful lot
of work and money involved, with little return on investment.
Most affiliates who promote other people’s offers end up going broke… with only around 1% of
affiliates make any serious kind of money.
Your last and only other option is to become a licensee of an existing product. Now this is the one
that excites me the most because it solves the problem of creating a program or product and
launching it and also means you earn huge commissions covering your expenses and leaving you
with a nice, healthy profit.
