In this talk, I would like to show, how Business Process Modeling (BPM) could benefit from semantic technologies through the use of Semantic MediaWiki.
Search Engine Optimization is the process of getting traffic from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural” listings on search engines. All major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing have such results, where web pages and other content such as videos or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search engine considers most relevant to users. This Presentation will give you a better understanding on what is SEO and how SEO should be done or started and what to be consider and highlights when starting a SEO campaign for your customer or for your website.
This document outlines the course content and schedule for an advanced database systems course. It includes 14 lectures covering topics like distributed database design, query processing, transaction management, and parallel database systems. Assessment will be based on attendance, exercises, class tests, and a final exam. The course is taught on Fridays from 2:30-4:30 PM, with the schedule subject to change. Tutorial sessions will be held on selected dates to provide additional support.

This document discusses ultra-reliable communication (URC) in 5G wireless systems. URC refers to providing a certain level of communication service almost 100% of the time. The document outlines two types of URC problems - long-term and short-term URC - and two types of reliability impairments. It argues that one key step towards enabling URC is revising how control information and data are encoded. The main objective is to define and solve new engineering challenges posed by URC in 5G networks.

This document outlines a proposed study to predict extreme precipitation in Sri Lanka through analysis of the relationship with El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO). The objectives are to identify the relationship between extreme precipitation and ENSO, develop a predictive model, and validate it with recent data. The methodology will include collecting rainfall and ENSO data, defining a threshold for extreme precipitation, distribution and correlation analysis between stations and seasons, and time series analysis. The results are expected to show whether extreme precipitation days are more or less frequent during El Niño versus La Niña phases. The study will be conducted over 12 months with the support of Sri Lankan government agencies and universities.

This proposal seeks funding to downscale global climate model outputs to finer scales over Sri Lanka in order to better assess drought impacts. The objectives are to 1) downscale historical data using statistical and dynamic methods, 2) compute drought indices from the downscaled data and assess their ability to capture past droughts, and 3) downscale future projections to characterize uncertainty in future drought tendencies. Downscaled data will be evaluated against gridded observed drought indices. The goal is to improve understanding of how well models capture Sri Lankan climate variability and drought, and assess near-term climate change impacts on drought with associated uncertainty.
