Marcos Ferrer, CBAP is an experienced business analyst, public speaker and
independent consultant. He has over 25 years experience in the practice of business
analysis and the application of Information Technology for process improvement. Mr.
Ferrer began his BA career in 1982. While still a student at the University of Chicago, he
developed a consulting practice with local property management and accounting firms.
Following graduation in 1983, Mr. Ferrer joined IBM in Chicago, where he worked on
requirements and systems implementations in the steel distribution, food distribution,
manufacturing and higher education industries. In 1990, Mr. Ferrer became an
independent consultant, again working with a variety of clients in the family
entertainment industry and then for 10 years at the U.S. Department of Labor, converting
legacy COBOL systems into real time client server systems. His recent projects include
working requirements for the Veteran's Administration, introducing BA practices at the
Washington Suburban Sanitary commission, and creating bowling industry models for
Infinity Bol LLC.
In November 2006, Marcos Ferrer became one of the first 17 CBAPs certified by the
IIBA. He has served for over 3 years as an elected member of the DC-Metro chapter of
the IIBA, most recently as President, and assisted in the writing of the BOK 2.0 test. He
is currently engaged in short term high pressure consulting and professional BA training
and transformation, as well as writing a monthly blog for the BA Times.
The Tenleytown Metro stop (Red Line) is about 0.6 miles northwest at Wisconsin and Albemarle
Direction from I-495 Tyson’s Corner:
1. Merge onto I-495 N/CAPITAL BELTWAY/I-495 INNERLOOP toward
ROCKVILLE/BALTIMORE.
2. Take the MD-190/RIVER RD exit, EXIT 39, toward WASHINGTON/POTOMAC.
3. Take the MD-190 W exit, EXIT 39B, toward WASHINGTON.
4. Merge onto RIVER RD NW (Crossing into DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA).
5. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto WISCONSIN AVE NW.
6. 3900 WISCONSIN AVE NW is on the RIGHT.
Directions from I-495 Baltimore:
1. Take I-95 S toward WASHINGTON.
2. Merge onto I-495 W/CAPITAL BELTWAY/I-495 OUTERLOOP via EXIT 27 toward
SILVER SPRING.
3. Merge onto MD-185 S/CONNECTICUT AVE via EXIT 33.
4. Enter next roundabout and take 3rd exit onto WESTERN AVE/WESTERN AVE NW.
5. Make a U-TURN onto WESTERN AVE/WESTERN AVE NW (Crossing into DISTRICT
OF COLUMBIA).
6. Turn RIGHT onto WISCONSIN AVE NW. 1.5 mi
7. 3900 WISCONSIN AVE NW is on the RIGHT.
Directions from Downtown DC:
1. Take 15TH ST NW.
2. Turn LEFT onto US-29/K ST NW.
3. Turn RIGHT onto K ST NW.
4. Turn LEFT to stay on K ST NW.
5. Turn RIGHT onto CONNECTICUT AVE NW.
6. Keep RIGHT at the fork to continue on CONNECTICUT AVE NW.
7. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto DUPONT CIR NW.
8. Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto MASSACHUSETTS AVE NW. Pass through 1 roundabout.
9. Turn RIGHT onto WISCONSIN AVE NW.
10. 3900 WISCONSIN AVE NW is on the LEFT.
Ample parking is available behind Fannie Mae Headquarters at 3900 Wisconsin Ave.
