The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), which has facilitated over 900 million square feet of green building space, organized various events across the country during this week, including conferences, campus activities, and competitions to spread awareness about green building concepts. Events were held in cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Kochi, and Mangalore to engage stakeholders from academia, industry and the public in learning about green building benefits.

Unique services are being offered by IGBC for government building projects, including a free feasibility study and training program on green buildings to help the project team achieve green building certification. The feasibility study will assess the project's compliance and ability to earn certification, while the training will educate the team on green building design. IGBC is also offering a 50% reduction in certification fees for eligible government building projects.
