some ideas how to make our bedroom interesting and beautiful, without
spending a lot of money.
If you put a large frame behind the bed on the wall, so that it looks like a niche,
that will create an illusion that the room is deeper. To make this effect stronger,
use contrast colours for the frame and the space in it, blue, gray or brown will
look perfect. You could, for example, paint the frame in white and then make the
inside of it blue.
Another interesting effect you can create by making a painting from cloth. The
bright, unusual fibers, with floral motifs or geometrical figures will turn the
room into a work of art. Make two frames with the size you like. Then stretch
the material on them, as you use the part of the textile drawing you want to
show. Then use something to attach them together and nail the ‘paintings’ on the
wall at 7-8 cm distance from one another.
Instead of two pieces, you might as well put one large piece of cloth and put a
tapestry or a painting in the middle, that’ll be something different.
The rich purple, pink or red shades will bring some romance in the bedroom.
Use a longer textile piece and make a drapery, to visually make the room look
taller. Put hooks at about 120cm above the bedroom. Let them be at a distance
around 90cm. Then tie a decorative lacing to them and stretch it, as you leave
the two endings hang from the both sides. Cast the textile over the lacing and
you are ready.
If you like wood, then you can put a decorative wooden fence behind the bed.
Better ask a professional to do the job. If your walls are in different colours,
paint the fence too.
