IceQuery is a web-based tool that modernizes existing IBM Power i (AS/400) queries. It provides an intuitive interface for accessing queries from any browser or mobile device. IceQuery allows users to view queries in various formats like charts, HTML pages, Excel spreadsheets, and PDFs. It also provides security improvements over the existing Query/400 by allowing administrators to restrict which data, libraries, and jobs each user can access.

2. IceQuery is a visual and functional modernisation of Query/400, turning a simple and effective solution into an intelligent
business tool.
So What is Query/400
It is a basic user oriented database decision support report
writer and utility. It is designed to allow non-technical users to
create basic reports and online enquiries in a simple menu
driven way.
The downside of Query/400 is that fact, that advanced/trained
users can get access to all types of data on the AS/400.
Many companies are for this reason reluctant to give "ordinary
users" access to Query/400.
IceQuery is opposed to that, it's a very safe tool. You can
decide upfront which kind of data, libraries and jobs a particular user can retrieve data from.
There is no way an IceQuery user (no matter how skilled) can retrieve and collect "off limits data".
IceQuery Modernises the Application.
Implemented in a few hours, you can have IceQuery up and
running on every OS/400 version from V5R2.
Developed in IceCap to enclose the original Query/400, the
user can recognize the "good old" Query/400.
How Does IceQuery Work?
You can access IceQuery from Internal and External web access, controlling the system with an administrator and a fixed
selection of external users. Also giving you and your users the ability to create reports with one click and delivering these
results in a choice of 19 graphical charts.
