The first refrigerated container train operated by the Container Corporation of India departed Hyderabad for Mumbai on November 9th, 2012. It carried seven refrigerated containers containing pharmaceutical products, marking the start of regular refrigerated container train service between Hyderabad and Indian ports. Refrigerated container freight service from Hyderabad will help boost exports of pharmaceutical products from India to other countries.

1. The first refrigerated container train of the Container Corporation of India was started
on 09-11-2012from Hyderabad to Mumbai. This marks the start of regular reefer container
train operations from Hyderabad to different ports in the country. The first consignment
consisted of seven refrigerated containers containing temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical
products.The first service of the container train carried seven refrigerated containers
containing high value and temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products to Jawaharlal
Nehru Port, Mumbai.

Train Operations:
There are daily Train from Hyderabad to Mumbai for transportation of containers where ICD
Sanathnagar, are able to send both Dry and Reefer Containers in the same train.
Activity:
Railway engineers of CONCOR as designed a power pack which is portable
generator which fixed in one wagon of the train where it as a capacity to give the power
supply to 25 Reefer containers at a time.
Escorting of Reefer Container is should and must monitored by the technicians when
the Reefer is carried in the train. If there is any problem in the reefer they must intimate to
the high authority.
Suggestion
As per the information collected from the various sources we suggest ICD
Sanathnagar to transport even if the ICD gets single reefer container by taking little
expenses or loss so that in long run it will lead to higher profit and make convince the
exporters that even single Reefer container it gets are ready to facilitate the movement.
