Abraham prayed to God to make Mecca a city of peace and provide fruits for believers and unbelievers. Abraham and Ishmael raised the foundations of the Kaaba, praying for God to accept their service. Abraham also prayed for himself, his descendants, and people to be devoted Muslims submitting to God's will, and for God to show them how to properly worship and be merciful. Finally, Abraham asked God to send a messenger from among the people to recite God's signs, teach scripture and wisdom, and purify the people.
