How to prepare to IAS exam?
Civil service employments are exceptionally sought after in advanced and developing
nations equally. Unlike private-area work, civil service occupations frequently offer
attractive hours, obligations, and work security. In India the Civil Services (IAS) exam
2013 will be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) on 26 May 2013.
Candidates appearing for the IAS exam 2013 should be aware that UPSC has made some
significant changes in the examination pattern. While the Prelim examination has
remained unaltered, there are updates in the Main examination.
The Main examination will contain seven papers taking all things together. In the new
organization, UPSC uprooted one of the optional subjects. Right away, the candidates
will show up for only one optional subject with two papers of 250 marks each. Separated
from this, Paper-1 will hold two areas. Area-I will have an essay for 200 marks while
Section-II will have English Comprehension and Précis of 100 marks. Furthermore, the
General Studies will now have four papers of 250 marks each.
What is overwhelmingly paramount to note is the way that Paper IV on General Studies
has been introduced and this will incorporate Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude for the first
time. One of the important updates is the choice of literature as an optional subject.
