The Global Green Engineered Fuels Alliance is proposing a sustainable biofuel supply portfolio from Georgia to support biofuel export strategies to Europe and Asia. The portfolio would include 475,000 metric tons of energy crops from Madison, 225,000 metric tons of energy crops and residues from Barnesville, 250,000 metric tons of energy crops and residues from Fitzgerald, and 300,000 metric tons of urban wood and residues from Elberton, for a total of 1,250,000 metric tons. The facilities would have capabilities for processing biomass into customized fuels to meet various industrial and consumer specifications.
