2. Basic Plot
This book is about nine aliens in human form, that
have special abilities. These teenagers are protected by
a spell or charm that only allows them to be killed in
numeric order. The first three have been killed, and
John is Number 4. They are hiding in Earth from some
creatures called Mogadorians. They all come from a
planet called Lorien. These creatures are trying to kill
them all for there own purposes.

3. Description of Major Characters
● John: He is described as being a fit, attractive young
man with dark blonde hair. He has three circular
scars on his right ankle, symbolizing the three dead
Lorien children, and a scar similar to the pendant all
the Lorien children wear, signifying the charm that
protects them.
● Henri: he is John's Cêpan. He had a wife and a child
on his home planet of Lorien, but he left them to
protect John when Lorien was destroyed. He is
John's caretaker and also trains and teaches him as
his legacies form.

4. Why should someone read this book?
● I think anyone that likes science fiction books would
love to read this book. It's a very interesting and
intriguing book that will make you feel like if you
were in it as a character. There is a film about this
book released on February 18, 2011 and it was the
first DreamWorks movie to be distributed by
Disney's Touchstone Pictures.
