The document describes a program called the Horsepower Challenge, a game for health initiative by Humana. The goal was to study the positive health influences of a pervasive game on school-aged children. Over a month period, 20 6th graders from 5 Louisville middle schools participated, wearing activity trackers. Preliminary results found increases in steps taken, with students reporting they had more fun and learned more by participating. The schools collectively walked over 6,000 miles. Teachers and parents observed increased excitement around being active.
