This report summarizes the humanitarian situation in northern Syria based on interviews with NGO staff in August 2015. It finds that armed conflict continued heavily in areas like Idleb, Aleppo, and Hama, displacing many civilians. An estimated 85 deaths and 15,300-20,400 injuries occurred daily from the conflict. The Government of Syria was responsible for most security incidents and civilian casualties, particularly through aerial bombing. Idleb witnessed new IDP movements from bombed areas, straining resources. Health and medical services faced increased demands and attacks on facilities. Various coping mechanisms helped civilians address needs, while relations between groups remained generally cooperative.
