1. A need that no one seems to be
meeting
Supposing you suddenly
developed a craving for cake. Then
you said to yourself that you must
have cake and you look for the
nearest cake shop but there is none
in sight.
You would probably say to yourself
that if someone put a cake shop
anywhere in that area, you would be
their number one customer.
However, you have to do market
research to find out whether the idea
you have come across can be
monetized profitably. You may be the
only one in that location with a taste
for cake.
2. Replicate something that you
have seen elsewhere
The world is fast becoming a global
village and as a result, people's tastes
and expectations especially in the
area of consumer goods and services
are getting more sophisticated.

need to become very observant.
