Corruption has appeared on earth and at sea because of what the hands of men have wrought; in order that God may make them taste the consequences of their actions; so that they might return. (Qur’an30:41)
The document summarizes Revelation 21:1-8, which describes God making all things new and the new heaven, new earth, and New Jerusalem coming down from heaven. It then warns that those who are cowards, unbelievers, corrupt, murderers, immoral, witchcraft practitioners, idol worshippers, or liars will face eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
God saw that humanity had become wicked and decided to destroy all life with a flood, except for one righteous man, Noah. God instructed Noah to build an ark and take two of every animal species and seven pairs of clean animals onto the ark to survive the flood. Noah obeyed God's instructions, taking his family and the animals onto the ark. Heavy rains fell for 40 days and nights, flooding the entire earth. After the waters receded, Noah sent out a raven and a dove to check if any land was visible. When the dove returned with an olive leaf, Noah knew the flood waters had receded enough. God established a covenant with Noah never to destroy all life with a flood again, symbolized by the

The animals are catagorized into four types: farm animals, wild animals, birds, and insects- to give the children their first glimpse into animal classification associated with the story. Also helps children identify the meaning of "two".
Jesus is the great physician, sent to heal sin-sick man. What is the character of this physician? He is always accessible; He is infallible; He is unchangeable; and He is the only physician that can cure the destructive nature of sin.
God created a perfect world and appointed humanity as stewards to care for creation. However, sin broke the relationships between humanity, Earth, and each other. Now, while sin affects creation, we still have a role as caretakers of both the natural world and our fellow humans, which honors God as our creator.
Islamic environmental ethics are based on teachings from the Quran and hadith that establish humans as stewards of the earth. The Quran instructs humans to care for animals and nature, use resources sustainably without waste, and recognize humanity as only a small part of God's greater creation. Hadith emphasize kind treatment of animals and conservation of resources like water, even when abundantly available. Islamic principles call on followers to respect the environment and natural resources as a trust from God.

1) One third of global food production is lost or wasted annually, amounting to 1.3 billion tons of food. Loss occurs at all stages of the food supply chain, with most loss in low-income countries during production and most waste in developed countries during consumption.
2) In 2010 in the US, 73 billion disposable cups and plastic water bottles ended up in landfills, equivalent to 230 per person. This drains natural resources and produces greenhouse gases that cause climate change.
3) Rising carbon dioxide levels correlate with increasing global temperatures over the past 2000 years. Climate change is projected to severely impact living conditions through effects like rising sea levels, decreased water availability, and extreme weather.

This document discusses the concept of environment and conservation from an Islamic perspective. It argues that Islam encourages Muslims to care for the environment and avoid wastefulness based on Quranic verses and sayings of Prophet Muhammad. The environment is defined broadly as the medium in which humans live, including the earth and wider universe. The earth's environment is maintained in a delicate balance, and humans have a responsibility as stewards to preserve resources and not disrupt this equilibrium.
1) God created the heavens and the earth over the course of six days, populating it with light, sky, land, vegetation, stars, sea creatures, birds, animals, and finally humans who were created in God's image.
2) Each day of creation is described, from the creation of light on the first day to the creation of humans on the sixth day. God saw that all he had created was good.
3) On the seventh day, God rested from his work of creation.
God created a perfect world without suffering or death, where humanity lived in harmony with their Creator and each other. However, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, original sin entered the world. As a result, humanity is now inclined to make moral decisions in imperfect ways, such as based on power, cultural norms, pleasure, or utility. However, God gave humanity the natural moral law, written on our hearts, to help guide us towards true happiness and fulfillment. The natural moral law upholds universal moral principles, such as that human life is intrinsically good and should never be directly harmed. An upright conscience, informed by God and the Church, can discern these moral truths amid our fallen state.
Canaan English Gospel Service: April 14, 2013Tim Tseng
This document appears to be the order of service for a church gathering on April 14, 2013. It includes songs, scripture readings, and testimony that follow the biblical creation story and fall of man, the redemption offered through Jesus Christ's sacrifice, and a call for people to commit their lives to following him. The service concludes by announcing a new membership class beginning the following Sunday.
The document discusses Pope Francis' letter "Laudato Si" which calls Christians to care for God's creation and address environmental problems. It includes an opening prayer asking God to teach us to care for the earth, a reading from Genesis about God creating the heavens and earth, and a reading from the letter discussing how the earth is crying out due to human-caused harm. The document concludes with prayers for leaders to work for justice and integrity of creation, and a closing prayer asking God to help choose life for all of creation.
The document describes the biblical account of God creating the world over six days according to Genesis. It provides details of what God created on each of the six days: on day one light, day two the sky, day three dry land and plants, day four the sun, moon and stars, day five sea creatures and birds, and on day sixth land animals and humans. It then discusses different Christian views on interpreting Genesis, from a literal six-day creation to accepting scientific theories like evolution and the big bang. Christians have a range of responses to environmental issues based on their beliefs about stewardship of God's creation.

This document contains the order of service for an Earth Day celebration including opening and closing prayers, two scripture readings, responsive psalm, and discussion questions. It focuses on stewardship of the Earth and asks for forgiveness for human selfishness that has harmed the planet. The service aims to help participants understand their responsibility to care for God's creation and live as good stewards of the Earth.
The document discusses what the Bible says about humanity's responsibility towards the environment. It examines passages from Genesis that discuss filling and subduing the earth, noting debates around the meaning. It also looks at Psalms and Romans which affirm that God owns the earth. The Bible encourages observing Sabbath years for the land to rest, following seasonal cycles, and reducing materialism and worry over provision. While global problems feel overwhelming, individuals can make a difference through small lifestyle changes and raising awareness of our role as caretakers of Creation.
This is a 20-day series of devotions preparing you to go on a mission trip.
For many people, the unknowns of travel and the uncertainties of encountering other cultures may be frightening. This series aims to focus your thinking away from anxiety or uncertainty, and toward the confidence and assurance you can gain from God’s perspective.
This reading plan was written by Christianity Today, Editor at Large, Tim Stafford.
The document discusses key attributes of God as described in the Quran. It states that God created the universe and everything in it, including humans. God knows all things and forgives mistakes when people repent. He knows our thoughts and deeds. God's power and greatness can be seen in His creations like the sky, mountains, and oceans. The document emphasizes that we should come to know God better by learning about Him from the Quran and obeying His commands, as He is the source of all blessings and cures sickness.
The topic on man and nature is one that has been discussed over the centuries. This topic has caught the attention of many scholars that come from many diverse field of specialization. As an appreciation to the great contribution of nature to the human survival, some have equated nature to God. Since the two are synonymous to them, they worship nature alongside with God. Others thought that nature is an obstacle to the human lives and men need to conquer and prevail over nature. In the light of these two extreme positions, this paper intends to explore and investigate the relationship between man and nature from the Islamic perspective. Apart from that, this paper would like to find out as to why the Muslim community is not paying due attention to the conservation and preservation of nature at a time when there is a serious call made by others to stop the ongoing environmental degradation that is happening all over the world. It is hoped that an investigation of this nature would bring to light as to what should be the ideal relationship of man with nature from the Islamic perspective.

This document appears to be the program for a church service that follows the creation story from Genesis. It is divided into four acts:
Act I discusses the creation of the world and calls it good. Act II talks about sin entering the world. Act III discusses Jesus' sacrifice and salvation. Several songs are referenced. Act IV calls the congregation to come together and follow Jesus, and announces a membership class beginning next week.
The document discusses the relationship between Islam and science by providing examples from the Quran that correlate with modern scientific discoveries. It covers topics in astronomy like the Big Bang theory, embryology, hydrology, oceanology, geology, and health benefits of practices like wudu and salah. The Quran is shown to contain verses referring to the initial singularity of the universe, formation of the human embryo, water cycle, features of oceans, role of mountains, and orbit of the moon that align with modern science. Performing wudu and salah is also said to have health benefits for parts of the body and mind. The document argues this is not a coincidence and is evidence the Quran contains scientific truths.
Islamic declaration on global climate changeEdy San
1. The document is an Islamic declaration on global climate change that affirms Allah (God) created the universe and earth in perfect balance and equilibrium.
2. It acknowledges that while climate change has occurred naturally in the past, the current rapid pace of change is human-caused and threatens lives and ecosystems.
3. The declaration warns that unchecked climate change could pass tipping points of 1.5-2°C temperature rise, exposing millions more to extreme weather and states efforts to address it through climate negotiations have been too slow.
Nutritious eating is important for children's physical and mental development. It involves consuming a balanced diet from the major food groups in appropriate portions based on a child's age, sex, height and weight. Without proper nutrition, children are at risk of slower growth, increased disease susceptibility and neurological disorders. Creating a positive eating environment at mealtimes and being patient with picky eaters can help children develop healthy eating habits. Allergies should also be monitored and addressed if needed.
Malcolm X was an influential African American activist and Muslim leader during the civil rights movement. He advocated for black empowerment and founded the Muslim Mosque, Inc. after leaving the Nation of Islam. His pilgrimage to Mecca broadened his views on race and he began advocating for human rights for all. He was assassinated in 1965 by members of the Nation of Islam. Malcolm X's legacy continues to inspire those fighting for social justice.

Improving the viability of probiotics by encapsulation methods for developmen...Open Access Research Paper
The popularity of functional foods among scientists and common people has been increasing day by day. Awareness and modernization make the consumer think better regarding food and nutrition. Now a day’s individual knows very well about the relation between food consumption and disease prevalence. Humans have a diversity of microbes in the gut that together form the gut microflora. Probiotics are the health-promoting live microbial cells improve host health through gut and brain connection and fighting against harmful bacteria. Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are the two bacterial genera which are considered to be probiotic. These good bacteria are facing challenges of viability. There are so many factors such as sensitivity to heat, pH, acidity, osmotic effect, mechanical shear, chemical components, freezing and storage time as well which affects the viability of probiotics in the dairy food matrix as well as in the gut. Multiple efforts have been done in the past and ongoing in present for these beneficial microbial population stability until their destination in the gut. One of a useful technique known as microencapsulation makes the probiotic effective in the diversified conditions and maintain these microbe’s community to the optimum level for achieving targeted benefits. Dairy products are found to be an ideal vehicle for probiotic incorporation. It has been seen that the encapsulated microbial cells show higher viability than the free cells in different processing and storage conditions as well as against bile salts in the gut. They make the food functional when incorporated, without affecting the product sensory characteristics.
Evolving Lifecycles with High Resolution Site Characterization (HRSC) and 3-D...Joshua Orris
The incorporation of a 3DCSM and completion of HRSC provided a tool for enhanced, data-driven, decisions to support a change in remediation closure strategies. Currently, an approved pilot study has been obtained to shut-down the remediation systems (ISCO, P&T) and conduct a hydraulic study under non-pumping conditions. A separate micro-biological bench scale treatability study was competed that yielded positive results for an emerging innovative technology. As a result, a field pilot study has commenced with results expected in nine-twelve months. With the results of the hydraulic study, field pilot studies and an updated risk assessment leading site monitoring optimization cost lifecycle savings upwards of $15MM towards an alternatively evolved best available technology remediation closure strategy.
Optimizing Post Remediation Groundwater Performance with Enhanced Microbiolog...Joshua Orris
Results of geophysics and pneumatic injection pilot tests during 2003 – 2007 yielded significant positive results for injection delivery design and contaminant mass treatment, resulting in permanent shut-down of an existing groundwater Pump & Treat system.
Accessible source areas were subsequently removed (2011) by soil excavation and treated with the placement of Emulsified Vegetable Oil EVO and zero-valent iron ZVI to accelerate treatment of impacted groundwater in overburden and weathered fractured bedrock. Post pilot test and post remediation groundwater monitoring has included analyses of CVOCs, organic fatty acids, dissolved gases and QuantArray® -Chlor to quantify key microorganisms (e.g., Dehalococcoides, Dehalobacter, etc.) and functional genes (e.g., vinyl chloride reductase, methane monooxygenase, etc.) to assess potential for reductive dechlorination and aerobic cometabolism of CVOCs.
In 2022, the first commercial application of MetaArray™ was performed at the site. MetaArray™ utilizes statistical analysis, such as principal component analysis and multivariate analysis to provide evidence that reductive dechlorination is active or even that it is slowing. This creates actionable data allowing users to save money by making important site management decisions earlier.
The results of the MetaArray™ analysis’ support vector machine (SVM) identified groundwater monitoring wells with a 80% confidence that were characterized as either Limited for Reductive Decholorination or had a High Reductive Reduction Dechlorination potential. The results of MetaArray™ will be used to further optimize the site’s post remediation monitoring program for monitored natural attenuation.
Kinetic studies on malachite green dye adsorption from aqueous solutions by A...Open Access Research Paper
Water polluted by dyestuffs compounds is a global threat to health and the environment; accordingly, we prepared a green novel sorbent chemical and Physical system from an algae, chitosan and chitosan nanoparticle and impregnated with algae with chitosan nanocomposite for the sorption of Malachite green dye from water. The algae with chitosan nanocomposite by a simple method and used as a recyclable and effective adsorbent for the removal of malachite green dye from aqueous solutions. Algae, chitosan, chitosan nanoparticle and algae with chitosan nanocomposite were characterized using different physicochemical methods. The functional groups and chemical compounds found in algae, chitosan, chitosan algae, chitosan nanoparticle, and chitosan nanoparticle with algae were identified using FTIR, SEM, and TGADTA/DTG techniques. The optimal adsorption conditions, different dosages, pH and Temperature the amount of algae with chitosan nanocomposite were determined. At optimized conditions and the batch equilibrium studies more than 99% of the dye was removed. The adsorption process data matched well kinetics showed that the reaction order for dye varied with pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order. Furthermore, the maximum adsorption capacity of the algae with chitosan nanocomposite toward malachite green dye reached as high as 15.5mg/g, respectively. Finally, multiple times reusing of algae with chitosan nanocomposite and removing dye from a real wastewater has made it a promising and attractive option for further practical applications.
2. INTRODUCTION
Many People believe that Allah and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) did not speak
about the environment and climate change, but this is untrue. Our relationship with
nature is a very important part of Islam. We are the caretakers of this earth. This is a
trust Allah has given us and we have not been doing a very good job at protecting it.
“Corruption has appeared on earth and at sea because of what the
hands of men have wrought; in order that God may make them
the consequences of their actions; so that they might
30:41)
• There are many things that we can do to save the environment.
• Please help and think about us kids, our future depends on it.
Here are 10 things that we can start doing today,
Insha’Allah.
3. 1. THE THREE R`S: RECYCLE, REDUCE
AND REUSE
“O children of Adam, take your adornment
at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be
not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those
who commit excess.” (Qur’an 7:31)
4. 2. PLANT MORE TREES AND USE LESS PAPER.
•This will encourage growth, repair, and clean the
air.
Anas (RA) reported that the Prophet SAW
said,
“If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds,
and then a bird, or a person or
an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a
5. 3. DON’T USE CARS FOR SHORT
DISTANCES AND CARPOOL MORE.
• Cars are harmful, because of their emissions and
cause air pollution and weaken the ozone layer.
• The extraction methods of Oil (used to create fuel for
our cars) are dangerous for the environment and the
natural environment.
“And We made the sky a protected
ceiling (canopy), but they, from its
are turning away.” (Qur’an 21:32)
6. 4. SAVE WATER.
•Water is quickly becoming scarce and
undrinkable in many parts of the world.
•We should learn to conserve water as much as
possible, especially while bathing or making
wudu.
The Prophet (SAW) said, “Even if there is a
flowing stream, still don’t waste
water.”(Muslim)
7. 5. CONSUME LESS ENERGY
•Use less heating and air conditioning
•Turn off lights and equipment when not in use
•Dry your clothing on a line inside and outside
•These are simple tips, but will go a long way!
“We have not created the heavens and
the earth and all that is between them
carelessly. We have not created them
for truth.” (Quran 44:38-39)
8. 6. EAT MORE VEGETABLES AND LESS MEAT.
• Cows release a large amount of methane gas and it is
more damaging to the ozone layer than Carbon
Dioxide.
• We should also fast more, like the Prophet Muhammad
SAW who used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays,
Insha’Allah.
• Consuming less will reduce waste and pollution.
“Eat and drink from the provision of Allah,
do not commit abuse on the earth,
corruption.” (Qur’an, 2:60)
9. 7. USE BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCTS
• Use products and packaging that break down easily.
• Did you know that a single water bottle could take more than
500 years to break down?
• One million marine animals die every year, because of the
plastic in the ocean.
• We are in an environmental crisis and we are not paying
enough attention, Subhan’Allah.
“…So… let them taste part of (the
of) what they have done that perhaps they
return (to righteousness).” (Qur’an 30:41)
10. 8. COME BACK TO A NATURAL WAY OF LIFE
• We must live so that we are not dependent on artificial things.
• Power plants and factories create pollution in the air, land, and
water.
• We must fix what is broken and make sure that we protect what
is left. This is our job from Allah.
“And it is He (God) who has made you successors
(khala’ifa) upon the earth and has raised some of
above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try
through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord
swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and
Merciful.” (Qur’an 6:165).
11. 9. TELL PEOPLE ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE.
•Know and discuss the facts, so that people are
aware and we make better decisions.
"By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss,
for those who have believed and done
righteous deeds and advised each other
truth and advised each other to
(Qur’an 103:1-3)
12. 10. TURN BACK TO ALLAH.
• We should attach ourselves to the Qur’an and Sunnah to seek guidance and
help.
• Allah explains everything in the Qur’an of how we can help the Earth and
ourselves, as you can see from all the verses I found.
• We just need to be those that ask Him and look for His signs, Insha’Allah. He
can change everything and heal this Earth in a blink of an eye, we just have to
become the people that deserve it, are thankful, and act right like He wants.
“It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of
settlement and the sky a ceiling and formed you
and perfected your forms and provided you with
good things. That is Allah, your Lord; then
is Allah , Lord of the worlds.” (Qur’an, 40:64)
13. IF WE MAKE THESE SIMPLE CHANGES,
WE WILL HELP THE ENVIRONMENT.
• This is Allah’s creation and a trust we have been given. Please make changes
and help to protect it and our future.
• Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) said about the land: “Partake of it gladly, so long as
you are a benefactor, not a despoiler; a cultivator, not a destroyer.”
May Allah always guide us and make it easy for us, Ameen.
“And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before
mercy until, when they have carried heavy rainclouds, We
drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein
and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will
bring forth the dead; perhaps you may be reminded.”
(Qur’an 7:57)
