To make popcorn, add a tablespoon of butter to a small pot and heat on low while pouring a capful of oil into a popcorn maker on the stove at 8-8.5. Add half a cup of kernels to the popcorn maker and crank the handle until the popcorn overflows, then pour into a large bowl. Pour melted butter over the popcorn without mixing, then add salt or flavoring, cover with a lid, and shake to coat the popcorn in butter and seasonings before enjoying.
