An academic appeal is a challenge to an academic decision, such as a grade or withdrawal from a course. To make an appeal, a student must submit an appeal form within 10 working days of the decision, explaining the decision being appealed, the grounds for appeal, and requested outcome. Supporting evidence must also be provided. Appeals can be submitted in person or by email to the student's Learning and Teaching Services Hub for consideration. Students unsure about the appeals process should seek advice from the Advice Service.
