2. How to make a recipe (Mexican Tacos)
Ingredients:
● 6 wheat or corn tortillas
● 350g minced beef or chicken
● 4 cloves of garlic
● 3 tomatoes
● Salt
● Oil
● Optional: grated cheese
To make the pico de gallo:
● 1 small onion chopped
● 1 green bell pepper
● 3 tomatoes
● a few coriander leaves
● 1/2 lemon
●
Preparation
First, chop the garlic and cook over a very low heat for 1 minute. Second, add the
three tomatoes, already peeled and chopped and increase the power of the fire. Season
and cook for a while. The tomato will release water, it should all evaporate, this may
take a while. Once evaporated, cook over low heat while stirring constantly, for 5
more minutes. Then, while the water from the tomatoes evaporates, prepare the pico
de gallo. In a bowl put all the finely chopped vegetables (tomatoes, onions, cilantro).
Then add the juice of 1/2 lemon and stir well. Next, when the tomato has cooked a
little, add the minced meat. Add the salt and cook over high heat. With a spoon,
remove everything and crumble the minced meat, so that there are no large pieces.
Next, once the meat is cooked, heat the tortillas one by one on both sides in a skillet
over medium heat. Finally, when the tortillas are hot, put a few tablespoons of the
meat on top of them, season with a little pico de gallo, wrap giving it the characteristic
shape of a taco. Optionally you can also sprinkle grated cheese on top.
