2. • Begin by making the top part of the rose and then draw
in the center line which will be the swirl when you're
done.
3. • Continue drawing the center swirl and then draw the
vertical line for the rose detail.
4. • Sketch out the actual shape of the rose until you have a
tulip shape for center part of the rose which is the bud.
Draw a swift contouring line for the petal of the rose on
the right side.
5. • Continue to draw out the blooming petals for your
Valentine rose until you have the shape of the rose like
you see here. Notice how the edging has some dips and
points.
6. • Draw in the last two parts of the petals which is at the
bottom of the rose bud, and then add some minor
detailing.
7. • Next, draw the leave bedding that the rose rests on which
almost looks like a flowing dress.
8. • Next, and lastly all you have to do is sketch in the vein
detailing on the leaves, and then draw the thick stem.
Erase the mistakes that you made along the way and
then you are all done.
9. • Here is what your drawing looks like when you are all
done. Color in your rose and you are done. I tried to write
an inscription on the rose but I don't think it looks too
good
