This document provides information about obtaining an Irish driving license, including: - Applying for a full Irish driving license that is valid for at least 10 years and registered in the NDLS database. The application process takes 5-9 working days. - The documents required for the application process: a photo ID, evidence of PPSN, proof of address, photograph, signature, and feedback from previous clients. - Once submitted, the application details are certified and documentation like competency certificates and feedback forms are processed and signed within the stated timeframe. A picture of the produced license is verified before being sent alongside accompanying documents.

3. HOW TO APPLY
To apply for driving licence online you need to be in possession of all of the following documents listed
below. If any of the documents is not available. Let us know and you will be instructed on what to do.
A PHOTO ID.
 Irish driving licence or learner permit
 Current Public Services Card
 Irish passport which cannot be expired by more than 12 months
 Current passport for all non-Irish citizens (valid for international use)
 Current national identity card for EU/EEA/Swiss citizens
 Irish Certificate of Naturalisation
 Current UK photo driving licence
 Current Irish travel document

EVIDENCE OF PPSN
 Public services card/social services card
 Correspondence from Revenue/Department of Social Protection showing PPSN
 P21/Tax Assessment/ Notice of Tax credits
 Receipt of social welfare payment which shows full PPSN
 Medical card / Drug Payment Scheme (DPS) card / European Health Insurance card
 Payslip or P60/P45

A PROOF OF ADDRESS
 Public services card
 Utility bill (i.e. from electricity/phone/gas/cable television service/broadband provider) Printed online bills

 Statement or other correspondence from bank/building society/credit union including eStatements where
the customer’s name and address are detailed. (Statements from store cards/catalogue companies are

 Letter from Department of Social Protection/Revenue, P45, P60
 Other official correspondence from an Irish state agency e.g. government departments; HSE; Register of
Electors/polling card; CAO; Susi; An Garda Síochána; Public / Private hospitals, Private Residential
Tenancies Board or third level college, Secondary school /training agency, NCT Reports or reminders, An
Post, TV Licence
 Correspondence from an insurance company regarding an active policy

THE PROCESS
Once you send your details, we begin your procedure. We submit your details for certification. Make sure
all your details are complete once your D1 form is filled.
All documentation are processed during this time frame. It is now that your certificate of competency and
driver feedback forms are signed.

13. Your licence is produced and a picture of it is shown to you. You verify if all the details on it are correct.
Indicate if changes are to be made so they are effected immediately.
Your process is completed and your driving licence sent to you. It is sent alongside all the accompanying
documentation. Should you not receive any of them, let us know.

14. Have You Got A Learner's Permit Already?
If you are in possession of a learner’s permit and will like to obtain a
full driving licence? We can help you get there without you going in
for the practical test. This entails you getting a certificate of
competency and a driver feedback form which you can present to
any NDLS CENTRE close to you and you will be provided your full
