Auntie Mame 1958 starred Rosalind Russell as the eccentric Mame Dennis and Jan Handzlik as her young nephew Patrick who comes to live with her after being orphaned. The film is an adaptation of the 1955 novel and 1956 Broadway play Auntie Mame about a wealthy bohemian woman who takes in her orphaned 10-year-old nephew and exposes him to her unconventional lifestyle and progressive views in the 1920s.
