1. Mohajeri & Co.
It was January 1st
1946 in Zahedan, where Mohajeri brothers (Mohammad and
Abolghasem) were appointed as INDIAN RAILWAYS ticket sales agent.
This was the emergence of Mohajeri Agency.
Since many years before Zahedan was linked to Quetta in India by Indian Railways
via Mirjaveh in Iran and Nokkandi in India.
In 1944, few Iranian intelligent and educated merchants, had in mind to establish an
airlines and Mohajeri & Co.
consequently IRAN AIRWAY Co.,(IRANAIR) was registered in Tehran, so Iran
literary got an Airline Company at that time.
IRAN AIR, by purchasing eight DC3 aircraft, remaining from World War II, in 1946,
officially started their domestic operation and Mohajeri Co., was appointed their Sales
Agent in Zahedan.
This was the time that, Mohajeri & Co., became officially a Travel Agent.
During the Second World War, while Iran was under foreign occupation, Russian
Airlines AEROFLOT was operating daily domestic services between Tehran-
Mashhad v.v., Tehran-Tabriz v.v. and twice weekly flights between Tehran-Moscow
via Baku v.v.
In 1947, Mohajeri &Co., chartered two DC3 flights from IRAN AIR in order to
transport Indian residence in Zahedan to Delhi, which this operation became a basis of
regular weekly air services between Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, Kerman, Zahedan,
Karachi and Bombay v.v.
In 1947, IRAN AIR appointed Mohajeri & Co., as The Sales Agent for Abadan.
In mid 1948 BRAATHENS S.A.F.E. of Norway appointed Mohajeri & Co. as the
General Sales Agent for Khouzistan, and then re-routed its Far East flight instead of
Basra to Abadan. This twice weekly flight was operated by DC4 aircraft from,
Stavanger in Norway via Hamburg, Geneva, Rome, Athens, Cairo, Abadan, Karachi,
Calcutta, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, v.v.
Also, in 1948 Mohajeri & Co. chartered a 21-seater DC3 aircraft from IRAN AIR to
transport Abadan pilgrims to Mecca and back, which resulted that in 1949 all Iran
pilgrims were transported by air only. Yet continues
In 1953 BRATHENS S.A.F.E seized their international operation to Far East and
SCANDINAVIAN AIRLINES SYSTEM (SAS) took over the route and operated 4
weekly round trip flights to Tokyo via Abadan v.v. and Mohajeri & Co. was
appointed the General Sales Agent for the area of Khouzistan and later date the
appointment extended to all Iran and Afghanistan as well.
In 1955 Kuwait Airways appointed Mohajeri & Co., as the General Sales Agent for
Abadan and by opening Kuwait/Tehran v.v. route, Mohajeri became General Sales
Agent for Iran and Afghanistan.

2. In 1956 Saudi Arabian Airlines started their 2 weekly flights Jedda /Riaz/
Kuwait/Abadan and afterward to Tehran and appointed Mohajeri & Co., as General
sales Agent for Iran too.
In 1957 Mohajeri & Co. became a IATA accredited agent.
From 1955, Mohajeri & Co., opened their branch offices, in Masjid-e-Sulatiman,
Tehran, Aghajari, Gachsaran, Khark island, Ahwaz, Shiraz, Mashhad, and Mahshar,
respectively.
In late 1958 for the first time in Iran, we established Incoming Tour department in
Tehran, and handled first foreign tourist group of 17 passengers to Iran.
In 1958 Swissair, after 8 years of suspension, resumed their once weekly flight to
Abadan and appointed Mohajeri & Co. as the General Sales agents for the area of
Khouzistan.
From 1947 till 1968, Mohajeri & Co., was the airport handling agents for all foreign
airlines operating into Abadan including SAS, Kuwait Airways, Saudi Arabian
Airlines, Swiss Air, KLM & BOAC .
In 1963 Mohajeri & Co., organized his first regular outgoing tour program from
Tehran to London and could sell and dispatch one group of 6 passengers including a
tour leader, with the total sales amounting to US$ 5,000 while the cost for
advertisements summed up to US$ 10,000.
To promote incoming tourists to Iran and give better services to Iranian tourists
abroad, from 1968 to 1978, we opened our branch offices in Los Angeles, Kabul,
Copenhagen, Hamburg, London, Rome, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong
respectively.
During the years of 1973/1978, each summer we organized 4 groups of 35 students,
ageing 9 to 18, for 45 days to UK in order to learn and practice their English
language.
Our several years of hard activities in the field of tourism, resulted in absorbing
around 30,000 foreign tourists into Iran and dispatching 603 groups, amounting to
17,876 Iranians in 1978.
Some of other services and innovations of Mohajeri & Co. are: initiation to establish
Pars Air (Today's Aseman Airlines), suggestion to establish Mehrabad Airport
Services (MAS), and utilization of International Computer Reservation System for
Travel Agencies, all of which were implemented and resulted in fulfillment of several
useful services for Travel and Tours activities.
Today Mohajeri & Co, to give services to its clients have offices in Tehran, Abadan,
Ahwaz, Mahshar, Mashhad, and Shiraz.
Mohajewri & Co. is well known as a prime and most experienced Travel and Tour
Agents in Iran.
