The Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment
Act (HIRE Act) is designed to create employment
opportunities by offering temporary tax breaks to
companies that hire the unemployed.
How does tHIs Help my busIness?
Employers can receive up to $1,000 business tax
credit on their 2011 return and will be exempt from
the Employer portion of Social Security tax for any
qualified individual hired between February 3, 2010
and January 1, 2011.
Total savings for an employer could be as much as
$7,622. $6,622 in Social Security taxes and a $1,000
business tax credit for any individual hired who meets

The individual cannot have worked for more than PayChoice representative.
40 hours in the previous 60 days.

The individual must sign an affidavit (Form W-11) www.paychoice.com
verifying that he/she meets the qualifications.

The individual must not be hired to replace another
employee unless the previous employee left
voluntarily or was terminated for cause.
■■
The individual is not a family member of the
business owner.
