This document describes fusible resistors produced by HTR. Fusible resistors are resistors designed to fuse or blow as a safety measure if subjected to abnormal voltage/current spikes or circuit malfunctions. HTR's fusible resistors use alloy resistance wire wound on a ceramic core and coated in flame retardant silicone or cement. They are tested to various industry standards and can fuse instantly when mains voltage is applied for resistance values above 10R for safety purposes. Typical applications include tape and reel packaging. Customers must verify the suitability for their specific application before ordering in bulk.
