The photoelectric effect simulation demonstrates:
1) Electron emission from metals requires photons with a minimum threshold frequency dependent on the metal;
2) Increasing light intensity increases the number of emitted electrons but not their speed;
3) Varying the light wavelength changes the photon energy, with higher energies above the threshold causing electron emission.
In over 150 countries, people will participate in a global climate strike from September 20-27 to demand an end to fossil fuels and support youth climate activists. Millions of adults are joining the strikes inspired by Greta Thunberg, a Swedish teenager who began protesting alone in 2018 and has since mobilized tens of thousands of students in climate strikes around the world. Thunberg has had a large impact on public awareness of climate change in a short time through her activism and speeches challenging world leaders and business elite to take bolder action.

This document discusses the relationship between biotechnology and ethics. It argues that biotechnology promotes a vision of life that influences ethical views. A two-way relationship exists where ethics influences biotechnology and biotechnology impacts ethics. While biotechnology has benefits like improving health, it also raises ethical issues regarding humanization, justice, and unintended consequences of manipulating life. The ability of biotechnology to literally create life requires special consideration of its ethical implications and a precautionary approach.

1. Recensione Hello World
all’University College di Londra, nonché autrice della famosa presentazione TED: The
mathematics of love.
Qui
lettura.
