A Reiki master must take several steps when healing a patient: 1) Check the patient's resistance level to determine if they are fully committed to healing or receiving payoffs from remaining ill. 2) Check their gut feeling about the patient's energy to understand their inner attitude and signals. 3) Release any blocks within the patient about healing before scanning and treating the problem. 4) Check for the possibility of reoccurrence of the problem and continue healing sessions if needed to reduce this possibility.

Scanning method helps us to know
problem area in anything that we
want to heal. We learn to heal
scanning here in Reiki 3.
But just this much does not let us heal
as a master.
There are many other things that we
must do as a master when we heal.

1: Checking patient’s resistance level: Healing is
obstructed most of the times due to the resistance a
patient has towards getting well.
Many times a person says that he wants to come
out of a situation, but actually, he is happy within
with the pay-off that he is getting out of that
problem.
So he does not want to let go of the pay-off and
yet, to satisfy his ego, or to fulfill the social
demands, he says that he wants to get rid of the
problem.
At such times, it is the duty of the master to check

2: Checking our gut feeling: This is
when a master has to check his gut
feeling.
When a master finds anything or person
that needs healing, he must keep his
hands on his naval and check the energy
he feel there.
This helps a master know his inner
attitude towards the person or event or
thing to be healed as well as the signals

3: Releasing blocks in patient: if
the master feels that he must
release the blocks within the
patient about healing, the master
must begin with that first.
It is only after this is done, a
master must start with actual
scanning and healing of problem
narrated by patient.

4: Checking of the possibility of
reoccurrence of problem: Even
when we have healed problem as a
master, after a while, problem appears
again.
This happens not just in case of
healing with Reiki and other spiritual
sciences, but also happens in case of
treatment with all recognized &
accepted methods.

6. HEALING AS A MASTER:
So, when a Reiki master heals from master
level, he must check the possibility of
relapse before finally declaring that the
patient is healed.
If he finds the possibility of relapse, he
must continue the healing for some more
time so that the possibility of relapse is
pushed away.
