Old abuse is a problem that exists globally and can take various forms such as physical, psychological, emotional, sexual, or financial abuse. It can also be the result of intentional or unintentional neglect. In many families in Bangladesh, grandparents have become the sole providers of care for their grandchildren due to urbanization and the separation of young people from their elders. A proposed awareness campaign would use media like television, radio, newspapers, and billboards to launch a reality show highlighting the experiences of older citizens and promote discussion of elder abuse issues. The campaign aims to raise awareness of social problems faced by the elderly and protect older people from abuse.
