Hawaii Volcanoes National Park has installed an SO2 SensorNet to monitor sulfur dioxide levels around the park. The network detects unhealthy SO2 events at various sites within the park, including coastal steam vents, campgrounds, parking lots, and other areas. The SensorNet provides air quality data over a two year period to help protect visitor and employee health and safety.
