3. This famous nickel steel alloy boasts exceptional
tolerance to a wide range of oxidizing aqueous
media, such as chlorine ions, nitric acid mixtures,
and wet chlorine. Hastelloy C22 plates, sheets, and
strips are manufactured using low-carbon, nickel-
based alloys in accordance with ASTM B575. As
one example, Haynes Alloy C22 Shim Stock
consists of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum in
addition to being a low-carbon metal.
In order to be certified as Hastelloy C22 Grade Strip
Tape by ASTM B575, materials must meet both
chemical and mechanical requirements. Among
the mechanical property specifications that the
2.4602 Hastelloy C22 Sheet must meet is ASTM
B575, which includes properties such as tensile
strength, yield strength, elongation, and Rockwell
hardness.

4. Alloy C22 plates are corrosion-resistant in running
or stagnant water because they contain tungsten,
chrome, molybdenum, and iron. There are several
grades of Hastelloy Alloy C22 available, including
corrosion-resistant, high-temperature, and high-
performance. You can weld a Nickel-Chromium-
Molybdenum-Tungsten alloy as the properties of
Hastelloy C22 alloy strips are broken down. The
alloy can be welded using gas tungsten arc,
shielded metal arc, or gas tungsten arc processes.
The nickel alloy Hastelloy C22 is known for its
excellent resistance to chloride pitting and stress
corrosion, as well as crevice corrosion cracking. It is
resistant to reducing media due to its tungsten
and molybdenum content, while it is resistant to
oxidizing media due to its chromium content.
