This document provides an overview of morning and afternoon workshops focused on methods for analyzing survey and usability data, and conducting space assessments. In the morning, the workshop will introduce methods like affinity diagramming, empathy mapping, and rapid idea generation. The afternoon workshop will cover letter writing to understand user perspectives, cognitive mapping to learn mental models of spaces, and touchpoint tours to experience spaces from a user's view. Both workshops aim to provide structures for hands-on practice and group discussions of these qualitative research techniques.

30. Dear Back Room of the Gutman Cafe,
I don’t know if you have an actual name, but you are a fantastic place to get
work done. The chairs are much more comfortable than those in the rest of
the cafe space (there are actual seat pillows - ooh la la!) and I love that there
are two walls of windows. There’s even a patio I can enjoy on warmer days,
but the concrete patio wall are a bit ugly. The fireplace makes the room cozy,
but does it ever get turned on? And I like the ambience your bookshelves
add, but can I actually check out those books? Who knows. This room is one
of my favorite spots to hunker down and focus - I just wish you were bigger!
