This study aimed to assess the relationship between East Africa Community (EAC) integration and the welfare of Rwandan cement traders. Specifically, the study sought to: 1) Determine the optimal price and quantity of cement in Rwanda; 2) Assess approaches used by EAC members to achieve regional trade goals; and 3) Establish the correlation between regional trade integration and the welfare of Rwandan traders using cement price and demand data. The researcher found a positive low relationship between EAC integration and Rwandan trader welfare.
