Miguel Rey was commended for his work developing the Safety Management Tracking System (SMTS) for the Federal Aviation Administration over the past year. Mr. Rey completed a prototype of SMTS within a few months, allowing users to provide input. He then established sustainable test and production environments for SMTS and built a new version, completing implementation by September 2014 - an aggressive schedule. Mr. Rey continues to support SMTS as the main point of contact, exemplifying the quality technical support provided by his employer SENTEL Corporation.
The document provides feedback on a student's digital graphic narrative project. It summarizes the strengths of the student's proposal, including explaining the production methods and consideration of the audience. It notes that the story overview could be more detailed. It also comments that the student's idea generation looked at characters in some children's books but could have explored more source material. The feedback concludes by summarizing the key points and which aspects the student agrees and disagrees with.
The document discusses the narrative structure of a children's book. It has a linear structure that starts at the beginning and progresses to the end. It has a closed narrative that reaches a conclusion. The story has a single narrative strand to avoid confusion, and is anti-realist with fictional elements like talking animals.
This document presents reasons why an organization should invest in Da Vinci Resolve 9 software for in-house color grading rather than Apple Color. It notes that Resolve is the industry standard, having been around since 1982, while Apple Color is a consumer solution with limited support and tutorials. Resolve also has faster processing, supports more formats, uses a node-based workflow, and is continually updated, unlike Apple Color which was last updated in 2010. Investing in Resolve will allow the organization to do more color grading in-house and help expand its capabilities. Resolve also has many free and paid tutorial resources available to learn its features.
Welding uses heat to join materials together. There are many types of welding electrodes that are chosen based on factors like the material being welded and welding process. Electrodes can be consumable, like stick electrodes which become part of the weld, or non-consumable like TIG electrodes. Key electrode types include stick electrodes, TIG electrodes, MIG wire, covered electrodes which have coatings that protect the weld, and bare electrodes without coatings. Proper electrode selection and storage is important for weld quality and performance.

Creating a Digital Collection: The experience of the Wien MuseumIstvan Szecsey
The Wien Museum has a wide range of collections from the history of Vienna including archaeology, art, fashion, and culture. Over the past four years, museum staff inventoried over 750,000 objects across five different databases. They are now working to consolidate the data into a single collection management system called MuseumPlus. This will allow them to correct errors, eliminate redundant information, and integrate additional data from ongoing archaeological analyses in Vienna. The photographic documentation of objects is an ongoing process.

papír alapú leltárkönyvről való áttérés számítógépes nyilvántartásra nem kell a mutatókartonok között keresgélni; nézőképek csatolása a kartonokhoz – látom is, amit keresek; -> műtárgyvédelem (nem is kell magát a műtárgyat elővennem) tematikus válogatás - kiállításrendezés gyorsan láthatóvá válnak az anomáliák – pl. ugyanaz a tárgy két gyűjteményben beleltározva; kölcsönzések kezelése – a múzeum raktáraiból kinn lévő tárgyak gyors áttekintése; restaurálás – a tárgyon végzett restaurálási, konzerválási, tisztítási folyamatok rögzítése, esetleges állagmegőrzési javaslatok a restaurátortól; leltárkönyv és leíró karton egyben – leíró adatok változása könnyen kezelhető; az adott tárgyhoz kapcsolódó dokumentumok csatolása – pl. adattári feljegyzések, ásatási jegyzőkönyvek stb.;
őrzési hely – egy adott helyen lévő tárgyak kilistázása – pl. mely tárgyaim vannak külső telephelyen, vagy pl. dekorációként mely képek vannak falakon stb.; webes kereső – internetes „tudásbázis” építhető a múzeum által őrzött értékeinkből – régi berögződött muzeológusi szemléleten („amit a tárgyról tudok, az az enyém”) való felülkerekedés; távlatban: esetleges alapját képezheti digitális kiállítások létrehozásának vagy egyszerűbbé teheti azok létrehozását; az előírásoknak megfelelő jogosultsági rendszer használata – a muzeológus feldolgozásra fordított idejének növekedése (eleinte nehézkes, később saját maga számára is kifizetődő – kiállításokhoz, kutatásokhoz, publikációhoz).
