Gosol is a village located in the Pyrenees mountains of Catalonia, Spain. It has a population of 219 people and an elevation of 1,400 meters. The village was founded in the 10th century and includes some smaller villages within its municipal limits. Gosol has a cool, wet climate receiving over 900mm of precipitation annually concentrated in the spring months. The town celebrates its annual festival on August 15 which features a unique folk dance called "Ball de les cosses."
