36. Cairo is Central
∗“Cairo is central to our distribution area and so it is very easy for us to get to the
interstates from Cairo. We can be on I-10 in 30-40 minutes. We can be on I-75 in 30-40
minutes and, of course, US Highway 84 runs directly through Cairo. So, the highway
system for us is key.
∗In our selection process, we went to several surrounding counties, municipalities
including North Florida and over in Alabama in search of a site.
∗The local economic development board, the Cairo – Grady County Chamber of
Commerce and the State of Georgia worked very well with us. There were no obstacles
that were not removed and we completed our relocation on time.
∗The workforce here is good and the quality of the workers here has been exemplary.”
