Civil Defence provides for the safety and basic needs of the population during emergencies by training civilians in rescue work, evacuation, first aid and damage control with help from the Singapore Civil Defence Force. The SCDF plays an important role in preparing the country for emergencies by educating citizens so they can help others in need and providing basic necessities. During a crisis, everyone must work together and offer assistance to survive.

1. Civil Defence Civil Defence provides for the safety and basic needs of the population on the home-front so that life may go on as normally as possible during emergencies. It involves training, with the help of the Singapore Civil Defence Force, the civilian population in rescue work, evacuation, first-aid and damage control.

2. Singapore Civil Defence Force I feel that the SCDF plays a very important part in helping our country prepare for any emergencies. They educate us so that we may help others in times of need. They also help to provide us with basic needs. Our country will definitely be prepared during a crisis. Even though the SCDF helps us a lot, we must also learn to offer help as everyone must help each other to stay alive during any crisis.

3. Out of Social, Psychological, Military, Civil and Economic Defence, I chose Civil Defence as I felt it is related to us and taking care of your family, friends, and people around you in times of crisis is a part we can play. We should help in where ever we can when anyone needs it and working together will help us build a better Singapore. When we know what to do, we can help to save lives and property, and ensure that life goes on as normally as possible in times of crisis. REFLECTION
