Mother Teresa of Calcutta was born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1910 and helped the poor in India until her death in 1997. She was born Agnes Gonxhe Bojaxhiu and founded the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta in 1950 to help the poor by teaching children and providing care for the sick and dying with no family.
