Issue
20XX Presentation title 3
At Camp Low there are limited
activities that can be done
without a trained or certified
person to facilitate. Visitors are
limited to the availability of a
staff member or certified
volunteer.
Addressing the Issue
20XX Presentation title 4
I will address this issue by creating 2-3 sets of
knot tying stations to become permeant
fixtures at Camp Low. These stations will have
diagrams secured to them explaining in detail
how to tie various knots commonly taught
within Girl Scouts and survival classes. I will also
create 4 sets of mobile knot tying stations that
can be used through out the camp and inside
the camp's building facilities.
Target Audience and Their Gain
Audience Gains
- Camp Low Visitors
- Camp Trainers
- Adult Volunteer Members
- Girl Scout Members
Rope and Knot tying Skills, Self
Confidence, and Leadership
20XX Presentation title 6
I will know that my audience has
gained the desired skills/knowledge
because:
They will be able to leave feedback with camp
personnel. I would like to add a survey to the
paperwork given by camp rangers to those who
reserve any Camp Low facility. I will also have a
QR code at the stations that can be scanned
with a phone which will link to a short online
survey.

Proposed Impact-
National and/or
Global Link
My Gold Award's
national and/or
global link is:
20XX Presentation title 9
I plan on GSHG adding my project to their list of
activities offered at Camp Low because it promotes
discipline and focus, and it teaches useful skills that can
be carried on beyond Girl Scouts. One of the greatest
opportunities, is making connections. Networking is
essential because who you know can really influence
the possibilities that come your way. This project is a
great opportunity for me to meet fellow community
members and those who may share similar interests
with me. These people I generally wouldn’t have met
otherwise. It will also bring more attention to Girl
Scouting in our community and give others a greater
knowledge of how Girl Scouts change the world with
the skills and knowledge they have gained over the
years.

Measurement of my project's success
What my
audience will
learn/gain
Knot Tying Skills
How I will
measure impact
Survey to be available by
camp rangers and/or QR
code that will be linked to
an online survey
When I will
measure impact
I will check surveys
monthly
My Gold Award project goals
are:
I am going to work with my advisor to figure out
other ways we can measure the impact of this
addition to the camp. I plan to be complete with the
Knot Stations by February 2023 and collect data on
the impact by April - May 2023. After two - three
months of data collection, I will be able to show the
impact in my final report.

My Gold Award will be sustained beyond my
involvement by:
My project will be sustained by the
Adopt a Camp team and Camp Low
volunteers
